Chapter 4344: The Eleventh Formation
The old man who had guided Lin Moyu looked delighted, but one of the others beside him snorted, "Old Third, don't rejoice too soon. The best result would be if he can locate all eleven formations."
The old man chuckled, "Whether he finds them or not, being glad for the moment does no harm."
Earlier, he had told Lin Moyu that there were ten formations hidden in this void. To pass, it would be enough to repair seven.
But in truth, there were eleven. The last was concealed the deepest.
This trial was divided into two parts. The first was to find the formations. The second to repair them.
There were eleven in total. The last was extraordinarily hidden, so finding ten was already impressive. Repairing them was even harder. Repairs came with dangers thus repairing seven was the passing score. But if someone found the final formation… or repaired more than seven, it was an over completion. Such results were naturally best.
Formation after formation surfaced from the folded seams of space. In only half a day, ten ruined arrays floated visible, quivering within distorted space.
Lin Moyu examined them carefully, his expression puzzled.
"These ten seem somehow linked… as though parts of a single formation cluster."
Looking closer, he was certain. These ten broken arrays formed merely a fragment of a much larger network.
"This cluster is far too vast. These ten are only the tip of the iceberg. If dismantled, they would be understood as just one function of the larger grouping."
He furrowed his brows. "But ten aren't enough it's missing one."
He had never seen this mythical cluster before. But with his mastery of formation deduction, he reversed from the ten pieces, and in his mind a huge formation group shimmered faintly into view, blurred but undeniable.
And at its corner: these ten imperfect fragments.
Though yet unrepaired physically, in his awareness they were already fixed and united. They formed one complete function… but incomplete, for one piece was absent.
It was a coordinating array. Without it, the ten could not merge, rendering them useless.
Lin Moyu's mind sharpened.
"So… there must be an eleventh hidden still."
All the seam hidden formations had already been pulled out. If another one lurked, there could be only one explanation
This last formation bore spatial attributes, able to shift with the space itself.
Like waves could overturn ships, but not sweep the fish swimming beneath.
He smiled darkly.
"In that case let's muddy the waters. Create a whirlpool and even fish will be dragged forth."
His Wings of Disorder snapped wide, beating torrents of chaotic wind.
Countless light motes leapt from the feathers, chaos sprites, merging their strength into the gale.
The void warped further. What had been rolling waves of folded space twisted into whirlpools. Whirl collided with whirl, creating greater chaos.
Rules fractured. Void thickened like swampy paste.
In such turbulence, anything hidden would be exposed
unless it truly did not exist.
At last!
Through the turbulence, a sliver gleam flickered fragment of the hidden array.
Unlike the others, this one yet carried operational force, clinging to space itself. That was why it had not emerged before.
But now, the chaos churned too violently even for it to cling. A corner slipped free.
"Just as I thought."
Lin Moyu's eyes lit, flashing with fierce confidence. His deduction had proven flawless.
The eleventh formation existed.
With only a corner revealed, it was enough. He would grasp the whole.
He began engraving runes. The ten broken arrays would serve as anchors through them, he could pull the eleventh into view.
For all eleven were parts of a single greater cluster. By causal law, where one part emerged, the others must respond.
In the God Alliance palace chamber, the watching elders were stunned into silence.
At last the guiding old man erupted in joy.
"He really found it! So young, and already this proficient in formation marvelous!"
Another nodded grimly. "Truly extraordinary. With this skill, repairing won't be difficult. It seems… this plan can succeed."
Faces lightened. Hope was visible.
The old man laughed again. "At least now our chances are far greater than before."
One hushed, "He's about to begin repairs. Let us watch closely see his hand."
Hand technique?
To Lin Moyu, this was basic work.
One by one, sigils blazed far beyond ordinary divine runes. More complex, reshaped into chaotic god scripts.
There were endless forms of chaos runes. Each race had their own. But all variations of the same core.
Lin Moyu was a master of unification through one law, reaching a hundred.
He had not abandoned his foundation of divine sigils. He had evolved them, rewritten them into chaos form.
In moments, thousands of runes shone in air, interlinking, patching broken sequences like glowing sutures.
A wave of his hand
The runes darted like hawks, embedding into fractures precisely, as though each rune knew instinctively its place.
The ten arrays came alive together.
Light erupted. Power of space resonated. Cracks yawned in void
And from them, rose a roar.
Bestial, savage.
Eyes of titans leer from the rifts.
"The danger… was here."
Within three of those arrays were spaces sealed
and within them, beasts imprisoned.
When broken, they stayed locked.
But now, mended they surged free.
Three monstrosities lunged out, massive, howling wrath.
They were apex Chaos Lesser Completions, terrifying in force.
Lin Moyu chuckled softly. His hand moved lazily, two fingers swaying.
At once the ten arrays detonated with thunder.
The space before him fragmented, shredding beast and void alike to particles.
Then, World Burning Fire swept up, searing the ruin into a hellscape of flame.
The beasts were ash. The arrays, restored.
Hope ignited.
