Chapter 4299: An Ancient Weapon
When Lin Moyu spoke, the gathered Eternals quickly withdrew within a blink, they were gone.
With a single step, Lin Moyu appeared before the Lord of Slaughter.
"Feel good?"
The Lord of Slaughter was momentarily startled, then cupped his hands. "Greetings, Domain Lord."
Lin Moyu smiled. "Should I call you Lord of Slaughter, or Senior Mu Sha?"
"You can just call me Mu Sha," the Lord of Slaughter replied quickly.
Though Lin Moyu was indeed a later generation, his current identity and status were on a completely different level Mu Sha didn't dare put on airs.
As they spoke, the black robe shrouding the Lord of Slaughter's body vanished, revealing his true face.
Lin Moyu's eyes fell on the dagger in Mu Sha's hand.
"That dagger's not bad mind if I take a look?"
Without hesitation, Mu Sha tossed it over.
"Please I found it by accident years ago during an exploration. It was in some ancient ruins, radiating a primordial aura. I don't know who left it behind, but it's the strongest weapon I've ever seen."
Lin Moyu examined it, and remarked,
"That black robe you're wearing you got it at the same time, right?"
Mu Sha nodded. "Exactly."
It was that robe which had allowed him to get so close to the Human Emperor for the sneak attack.
Lin Moyu's eyes gleamed with recognition. He tossed the dagger back.
"This dagger is a Chaos Treasure a fine item."
"What's a Chaos Treasure?" Mu Sha asked.
"It's a treasure used by those in the Chaos Realm," Lin Moyu explained. "Both this dagger and the robe are such items. Don't ask where they came from now that they're in your hands, they're yours. But with your current strength, you can't fully unleash their power. If someday you're lucky enough to transcend and step into the Chaos Realm, you'll see their true might."
Mu Sha nodded. "Thank you for the guidance, Domain Lord. May I ask when you knew I wasn't actually dead?"
Lin Moyu replied, "Can't remember exactly probably back when I was scheming against the Lord of Curses. Back then, it was only a suspicion; I had no confirmation. And I had my own matters to attend to, so I didn't care about your grudge with the Human Emperor."
Mu Sha chuckled. "Of course your ambitions far exceed ours."
A touch of flattery in that instant, Lin Moyu saw in him the same Mu Sha he had once known.
"You go tell the Jianmu Emperor," Lin Moyu said, "to rein it in a bit. Killing some people is fine but don't keep destroying worlds. Everything has karmic consequences, and when karma comes due, it could be too late even an Emperor can be destroyed."
Mu Sha inclined his head. "Understood. I'll go right away."
It wasn't just advice but a warning. If the Jianmu Emperor didn't listen, Lin Moyu had many ways to end him.
After all, this was Lin Moyu's domain; the Jianmu Emperor was just that an emperor. Misbehave here, and punishment would follow.
As Mu Sha left to speak to the Jianmu Emperor in the virtual world, Lin Moyu remained thoughtful.
"Things from the previous domain era… still surviving?"
From the dagger, he had felt a primeval aura older than the Five Domain World itself.
If he wasn't mistaken, it might date back to the Four‑Domain Era, or even the Three‑Era.
Each time a domain collapsed back into a Domain Seed, everything within should be destroyed. How did this dagger survive?
Normally, even a Chaos Realm weapon would be destroyed with the domain unless it was at the absolute extreme, like the Ferry of Tribulation.
And that in itself made the dagger and robe unusual.
Domains did not have transcendents among their inhabitants; anyone who transcended would leave, taken away by the Green‑Robed Elder and never return.
So the dagger's origin was deeply questionable.
Lin Moyu recalled that when the Five Domain World was being formed, the Heavenly Void Land had been attacked from the chaos outside.
Beyond the domain, the Green‑Robed Elder stood guard. Anyone daring to attack must have been a Heaven‑Earth Supreme.
And a Supreme often had subordinates.
Perhaps the dagger and robe had been left behind by one such servant which would explain why they were so ancient, older than the Five Domain World.
"Seems that battle had its own stories," Lin Moyu mused. "The old man in green robes clearly has enemies. Makes sense hogging that seat for so many years, of course some would be unhappy.
"If he does have enemies… I hope nothing happens. Otherwise, even if they're Supremes, I'll slaughter them one by one."
He thought of his wife; the Green‑Robed Elder's Dao‑companion had once said she was teaching them a formation.
In hindsight, that meant a fight was coming.
Combat was part of a cultivator's life no one reached the peak just by sitting in seclusion. But battles came in many forms, some safe, some deadly.
If his wife truly faced danger… whoever the enemy was, Lin Moyu would smash their head, shatter their soul, annihilate their true spirit erase them utterly from existence.
And he felt sure they wouldn't give up easily.
Achieving Chaos Perfection and claiming the Catastrophic Supreme's mantle would not be easy.
But he was unconcerned his path had always been paved in blood. Enemies? Kill them.
"All right. Everything's handled. Time to go home and see my little ones."
This had been a very long trip over ten thousand years away. They were probably furious by now.
His gaze pierced the void, settling on the Origin Continent, locking onto Yuedao City.
In the courtyard, he saw Little Mist and the others after ten thousand years their cultivations had advanced greatly.
Before departing, he had left them with abundant cultivation resources, and they had clearly not been idle.
In those ten thousand years, all four had reached First‑Class Soul Peak only a step away from becoming Dao Lords.
But becoming a Dao Lord wasn't simple they would need the support of a Great Dao within the Origin Continent.
And for each of their Daos, there was already a Dao Lord seated. That meant they were stuck unless those Dao Lords died, they would never ascend to that rank here.
Not a problem Lin Moyu couldn't solve he had many ways, such as killing the current holders.
But that was the worst solution.
Instead, his thought brushed over a nascent world fresh, with few beings, none yet awakened to intelligence.
It had few Great Daos, but that was easy: with a shift of will, countless Daos surged in, filling the world.
In half a day, it was rich with Great Dao power; the life within, bathed in it, would soon awaken intelligence and give rise to cultivators.
The next instant, Lin Moyu tapped a finger and in Yuedao City, the chatting Little Mist and company saw the world twist. In a blink, they were in a strange new land.
"Master!"
Little Mist was the first to cry out. Looking left and right, seeing no sign of Lin Moyu, she shouted loudly, "Master, come out! I can sense you!"
The urgency in her tone was clear. The others searched as well.
Lin Moyu smiled and was about to reveal himself when the air split apart.
A black‑blue dagger tore through the void, streaking straight toward Little Mist.
