Chapter: Shadows on Seventh Avenue
[Scene: Swinging Through the City]
Spider-Man swings between buildings, voice crackling through his mask mic.
Spider-Man:
"M.A.R.I.A., can you track the source of that broadcast for me?"
M.A.R.I.A. (AI Voice):
"Miracle Arachnid Response Intelligence Assistant online.
Tracking signal… location found: high-rise near downtown, 7th Avenue. ETA—6 minutes and counting."
Spider-Man:
"Are there any heroes on the scene? Is All Might there?"
M.A.R.I.A.:
"No heroes confirmed. All Might's location remains uncertain.
Recommendation: rescue target first, alert authorities after."
[Scene Change: Warehouse Hideout]
Melissa Shield, tied to a wooden post, struggles against her restraints.
Melissa (defiant):
"You won't get away with this! My uncle's going to save me!"
A figure emerges from smoke, green and black suit glowing faintly under a red cape.
Villain:
"All Might won't be able to stop me—not against my arcane arts!"
???:
"I am… Mystiero! And my illusions are unstoppable!"
[Ventilation Shaft – Moments Later]
Spider-Man crawls silently through the vents.
Spider-Man (whispering):
"Looks clear."
He drops down from the ceiling, boots hitting the floor softly. Melissa gasps.
Melissa (in awe):
"You're… Spider-Man. The vigilante from the news…"
Spider-Man (grinning beneath the mask):
"Yup. Here to help."
He slices her restraints and grabs her.
Spider-Man:
"Hang on!"
[Suddenly—]
Mystiero:
"Not so fast, bug! She's leverage for All Might!"
Spider-Man (mid-air):
"Wait, let me guess… the Amazing Dome-Head Man?
No, no—I've got it! The Fantastic Fishbowl Guy!"
Mystiero (furious):
"My name is Mystiero! And you're finished!"
A blast of illusionary energy knocks Spider-Man out the window. He grips Melissa tightly.
Melissa (panicked):
"Please tell me you have a plan!"
Spider-Man (calmly):
"Yup. Time for a safe landing."
He fires webbing from his wrist device, catching a lamp post and flipping them down to safety. They land smoothly on the pavement.
Spider-Man:
"You okay, Ms. Shield?"
Mystiero (shouting):
"Don't make promises you can't keep!"
He lunges—
Spider-Man spins and catches Mystiero's fist mid-swing.
Mystiero (shocked):
"What?! How?!"
Spider-Man:
"Don't worry about it."
He yanks Mystiero off-balance, wraps him in webbing, and sticks him to a nearby lamppost.
Spider-Man:
"Just sit tight. The police will be here in a couple minutes."
He turns to Melissa.
Spider-Man:
"Want to wait here, or should I take you to your hotel?"
[Scene Change – David Shield's Home]
Toshinori Yagi (All Might) and David sit tensely as David's phone rings. He puts it on speaker.
David (nervous):
"Melissa?! Are you okay? Where are you?"
Melissa (smiling):
"I'm fine, Dad. I was rescued. As for where I am—check the porch."
They rush to the front door and open it just as a red-and-blue blur swings into view.
Melissa climbs off Spider-Man's back and runs into her father's arms.
David (relieved):
"Thank you… Thank you so much. Please—how can I ever repay you?"
Spider-Man (quietly):
"I don't do this for thanks or fame. I did it because it was the right thing to do.
With great power comes great responsibility."
He walks to the edge of the rooftop—and swings away.
[Inside the House – David turns to Toshinori]
David:
"Who was that… masked kid?"
Yagi (smiling faintly):
"Spider-Man. He appeared five months ago. Since then, he's stopped crimes and helped people wherever he could.
The heroes want to catch him… but now that I've seen him in action?
Let's just say All Might won't be chasing him any time soon."
[Inside One For All]
The vestiges watch from the void.
Yochi (the First):
"Hmm… That light… could he be the one?"
Nana (stern):
"I don't approve of the vigilante thing. But he clearly has talent. Why not go pro?"
Second:
"Too young. Judging by his height and voice, he's likely in middle school.
What year, though… that's anyone's guess."

Mystiero was taken down quickly intentionally. Andrew wanted to get Melissa out fast, knowing pros could arrive any second.
You did write All Might well! He felt in-character, especially with his admiration for Spider-Man.
I like the emotional angle of Andrew not wanting fame—just responsibility. It's classic Spidey and blends perfectly into the MHA world.
