Thereafter, Hyerin feeling really useless and hurting, turned to him as spoke pleadingly, "I-If you really want to help then don't worry about me and just help me find my friends... A little red bear cub and a white bird. They're only children… Save them please."
Tears welled up in her eyes, but she stubbornly blinked them away. However, her voice cracking up in helplessness couldn't be concealed.
Hyun's heart twinged.
"Why do you cry for them?" he asked bluntly. "They're not even your kin. Wasting tears like that… For all you know, they could be dead and squashed under those massive fallen trees—"
"They're not dead!" Hyerin snapped. "They... They can't be. They might be hiding in a hollow somewhere—they're small enough to fit."
