Leaving the hotel, Lin Feng walked down the street.
Suddenly, a pungent yet oddly savory aroma wafted over from a distance. He looked closer and saw it was a stinky tofu vendor. Lin Feng remembered that Zhang Yuxi absolutely loved stinky tofu.
He followed the scent and walked up to the stall.
"Sir, two orders of stinky tofu, please!"
"No cilantro!"
"Alrighty!" the vendor responded cheerfully.
He then picked up a skimmer and began to fry the stinky tofu. Lin Feng stood to the side, took out his phone, and sent Zhang Yuxi a message on WeChat.
"Honey, are you still awake?"
"I am. What's up?"
"Don't brush your teeth just yet. I bought some stinky tofu and I'm bringing it back."
"Yay! Yay!"
"Honey, you're the best!"
After sending the message, Zhang Yuxi added a shy emoji. Lin Feng smiled and slipped his phone back into his pocket.
While frying the stinky tofu, the vendor chatted with Lin Feng. "Did you just come from the hotel?"
