"I'll go make us something to eat." An Lan rubbed her flat stomach, about to head to the kitchen.
But Zhang Yuxi stopped her. "You don't have to. Lin Feng said he'll cook when he gets back!"
"He can cook?" An Lan asked, surprised.
Zhang Yuxi lifted her chin, her expression full of pride. "Of course! His cooking is amazing, even better than yours!"
An Lan frowned, a hint of skepticism on her face. "Somehow, I find that hard to believe. A college student who cooks better than me? Are you kidding?"
Zhang Yuxi just smiled, not bothering to argue. "You'll see when he gets back and makes you a meal."
"Alright!" An Lan's eyes narrowed. "In that case, I'm eager to see just how amazing his cooking can be!"
No sooner had the words left her mouth than the sound of a key turning in the lock came from the front door.
