No desire, no weakness...
Elder Long closed his eyes. Many say that those with desires are actually the strongest, but few consider that people can be of different types. Some merely have desires but are unwilling to act, and these people are mostly useless; some have little desire, completely laying flat, desiring nothing, feeling no pain, lacking competitiveness—they actually fare much better than those with empty desires.
The type who has desires and is willing to work hard is terrifying and often celebrated as the model of a rising star driven by effort.
But the most terrifying is the kind that exists only in legends, capable of squeezing their desires to the extreme to achieve certain ideals!
Like saints in ancient times, who would suppress their physical desires to an inhuman degree just to realize their political aspirations.
