Chapter 3 - Vanishing

[Inside the collapsing dungeon, moments after the mist awakens]

[The three run through the trembling stone corridors, footsteps echoing under the weight of the black mist rolling in like a living tide.]

Mr. Ren — "Faster! Don't look back!"[He fires a few blaster rounds at the mist, uselessly — they fizzle as if swallowed.]

Prax — "It's gaining— V, keep up!"

V — "I am keeping up, but— wait!"[His eyes flick to the side, catching something odd. A stone slightly brighter than the rest, edges worn in an unnatural groove.]

V — "Here— this rock—"[He shoves it. With a deep grinding sound, the wall splits, a massive slab sliding down between them and the mist, sealing the passage like a trapdoor.]

[The roar of the mist cuts off abruptly. Silence. Only their ragged breathing remains.]

Prax — "...You knew that would be there?"

V — "Nope. Just… noticed."[He gives a small shrug, though his heart pounds. His recall ability had tugged him toward it, like a memory not his own.]

Mr. Ren — "We need reinforcements. Prax, with me. V— stay here. Do not wander."[The two rush back toward the dungeon's surface.]

[V lingers, leaning against the stone, but the silence pulls at him. His Infinite Recall stirs, memories layering over the stone walls — sights, echoes, voices long dead. He takes a hesitant step forward into the unsealed chamber.]

[Suddenly, his head throbs. A whisper cuts through the empty air — not a voice, not even a presence, just a thought resurrected.]

??? (Whisper) — "Kerlao…"

[A sharp flash of black light flickers in the chamber, gone in an instant. V clutches his temple, stunned.]

V — "...Kerlao? What the hell is that supposed to mean…?"[He opens his small diary, scribbling the word with shaking hands.]

[Minutes later, V emerges back at the dungeon entrance, his mind racing. But as he steps out into daylight— the dungeon shudders behind him. The ground shakes once, then stills. He turns. The entrance is gone. Where the stone arch stood is now nothing but barren soil.]

V — "...It vanished."[His voice is barely a whisper. The first dungeon in history — gone as though it never existed.]

[Far above, the clouds drift. But somewhere within them, the mist stirs, unseen.]
