Forstand and Runar watched the state of the battle with furrowed brows. More ice wolves and saber-toothed tigers than they had ever seen together were hurling themselves recklessly into the traps, filling them far faster than the few frost titans assigned to clear them could manage.
Even among the frost titans, those wielding long weapons stepped forward, focusing on pushing back the incoming waves of monsters, while the standard spear-bearing frost titans attempted to cut off the creatures' flow at key points and leave enough breathing room for the close-combat fighters. Yet the frenzy of the monsters—especially on the southern front—briefly pushed the burden to an uncontrollable level.
"They're coming." Runar and Forstand fixed their eyes ahead, and a moment later, dragon roars shook the sky.
