The Northern Glaciers
Ísqala's monstrous army was advancing in layered formations toward the territories seized by the frost titans. In the outer ring, thousands of ice wolves and saber-toothed tigers were gathered—creatures of low intelligence meant to absorb the first wave of damage during an attack. To keep them from scattering too easily, hidden among them were alphas of the tenth rank and above. Behind them marched mixed battalions of ice trolls and kobold cavalry. Balanced in terms of strength, this tier formed the backbone of the army. The inner layer, however, was reserved for Ülgen with his siblings mounted on Drake Iczyra, the kobold shamans, and the cavalry of Tolp's Might arranged around them.
