Chapter 3 - Ch:3 This Guy is huge trouble!!

After feeding her, Alex gently laid her fully on the bed, draping a blanket over her, and remarked, "In a few days, you might manage to move your hands and body slightly—then you can freshen up and change clothes. Yours are ripped and soiled."

After listening, she huffed softly and said nothing, closing her eyes.

Alex headed out of the hut to inspect his planted herbs and water them diligently. Just as he moved to shut the door behind him, he paused and said, "Oh, how dumb of me—I forgot to even introduce myself. Of course you'd be wary of me, hehe."

Alex rubbed his head awkwardly with an airhead expression.

'Is he an airhead, grinning like a foolish guy?' she thought to herself.

As she was lost in her own thoughts, Alex introduced himself. "Hello, I'm Alex, a healer from a small town, and a swordsman—though I'm not much good at it, but I'm not bad either. You know, when I was young..."

He launched into his childhood tale, eagerly recounting how he learned swordsmanship and healing magic. But midway through, he realized he was chattering too much and lightly slapped the back of his head in reprimand while grinning.

"Dumb me—didn't even ask your name, hehe. What is your name, miss?"

'Yes, an absolute airhead '

She didn't respond and kept her eyes closed. Alex sighed in defeat and turned to leave. Just as he was about to close the door, he heard a low, ethereal voice.

"Lilith, don't remember it!"

With those words, the room fell silent; only the sound of breathing could be heard as she drifted off to sleep.

Alex shook his head and chuckled. "Sure, sure, Lilith. Hehe, sleep well."

As the sun began to set, Alex returned from his swordsman training and tending his herbs. With him, he brought chopped meat from a rabbit monster; his clothes were covered in monster blood.

As he entered the hut, he saw Lilith still sleeping—likely the effect of the medicine he'd fed her. The hut was small, with no living room, just a kitchen and a bathroom supplied by a water tank that fed the taps.

Alex changed into a fresh set of clothes in the bathroom, washed his bloodied garments, and began preparing dinner. The rich, savory scent of cooked meat soon filled the small hut. Lilith's delicate, almost perfect nose twitched involuntarily.

After all, Alex was proud of his cooking—he had planted a few spices brought from Earth, grafting several plants together and carefully cultivating them until their flavor came as close as possible to the real thing. He had succeeded, and so he could still taste the delicious foods from his previous homeworld.

Lilith stirred from her slumber. "Mmm… such a fragrant smell," she murmured. "It's making my mouth water. Is that idiot really that good at cooking?"

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice Alex returning with two steaming plates. He set them on the small table beside the bed. As the aroma grew even stronger, Lilith's stomach growled loudly. Her cheeks flushed deep red—an uncharacteristic reaction for the mighty Demon Empress.

"Hehe, are you that hungry, Lilith?" Alex teased.

"S-Shut up!! Th‑That wasn't me!!!" Lilith snapped, her face burning hotter than any ordinary woman's, completely unlike her usual composed self.

'Why am I acting like some blushing maiden? she thought, gritting her teeth. Is it because all of my power is sealed right now? I need to heal sooner and purge this damn poison… then I might be able to unseal my power again.'

Alex helped her sit up in the bed, and she reluctantly accepted his support. He tried to be as respectful as possible, careful not to touch her inappropriately. After all, he'd read enough manga to know that the protagonist always got slapped the moment he helped the heroine—though most of those guys were perverts. But he wasn't!

He then began feeding her. At first she refused, but as the rich aroma drifted into her nose again and again, she couldn't resist taking a bite. The moment she tasted it, her face lit up. She tried—and failed—to hide her excitement and pleasure.

"T‑This food… W‑Where did you learn to cook like this?" Lilith asked, her voice stumbling.

"N‑Not that it's good or anything! I'm just… asking. Yes, just asking. M‑Maybe you're accidentally adding some poisonous plants into it, humph!" A shy blush spread across her cheeks as she fumbled through her excuses.

'Why am I acting like this? she thought, mentally scolding herself. Stuttering while talking to this puny human… and even blushing?! Bah!'

Alex smiled at her question, then proudly puffed a little air from his nose before answering.

"Hehe, these spices are my own blend," he said, sounding almost smug. "After all, I'm pretty good at this." He continued feeding her with the spoon, speaking in a relaxed, cheerful tone.

Lilith was annoyed inside, yet she still let him feed her… like a child!!!. Once he had finished giving her every last bite, Alex finally ate his own meal. Afterward, he gave her the medicine, then gently laid her back down in bed and tucked her in with the blanket.

Alex spread a simple bedding on the floor and lay down there after washing the dishes. Before closing his eyes, he called out to her brightly.

"Good night, Lilith!!"

"G‑Good night, idiot," she replied automatically—then clamped her mouth shut as she realized how out of character she sounded.

'what am i doing!!! This is his fault!!, yes this guy is at fault!! This Guy is huge trouble!!!!'
