Chapter 30 - Thirty

My Twin Sugar Mommies and Two Systems are 100 Years Late! Chapter 30.

Yan Anle's courtyard only had simple wooden double doors for gates. It was usually not locked unless both he and Dou E were out. When the 'intruders' arrived, they proceeded in uninhibited.

The trio included Chu Ergou, a servant under a Yan Clan Elder. Ji Shentu was a man in his thirties sitting in a wheelchair. He had a neat chin beard and a blade scar under his left eye.

Pushing him was a young man who appeared to be his bodyguard. A long moon-shaped blade was sheathed on either side of his waist.

Chu Ergou had no good feelings toward the fellow in the wheelchair. In fact, he wanted to give him a memorable beating.

He had shown the man almost all the unoccupied Private Courtyards. This fellow wordlessly shook his head each time.

A pity; despite having the higher cultivation base, Chu Ergou could only swallow his bitterness.

This was due to Ji Shentu's identity as a Two-Star Talisman Master. He possessed over a seventy percent success rate.

For Profession Cultivators, one star corresponded to Qi Gathering and two stars to Foundation Establishment. Chu Ergou found the situation unbelievable. He knew Ji Shentu as an infamous cautionary tale.

His Ji Family was a powerful subsidiary force under the Great Yan Clan. Because of this, he was overbearing and unreasonable. He once encountered a girl on the road and tried to hit on her.

She rejected him repeatedly. He saw that her attire was ordinary and her cultivation base was only at Mid-stage Qi Refinement. Her companion also seemed to be just an old man.

He was furious. He could not stand such a 'small character' looking down on him. He instructed his lackeys to capture her in broad daylight.

It did not take long for him to realize he had kicked an iron plate. That 'old man' was actually a powerful Dao Protector. The girl's background was truly extraordinary.

As they say, the true tycoons and powerful people are the most low-key. The Dao Protector crippled the three legs and cultivation of Ji Shentu and his lackeys. He then dragged the unconscious body along the streets.

Once they reached the Ji Family Estate, the Patriarch was enraged. He charged out shouting, "Die!" He was a Nascent Soul Level 1 practitioner with confidence in his strength.

Coupled with his anger and grief, he did not expect to be casually slapped into spitting blood. The Dao Protector wanted him to use his own hands to kill his son. The 'Ji Ancestor' was forced to appear.

The Ji Ancestor and the mysterious Dao Protector exchanged a few blows. The former coughed up blood and had to beg for mercy. The Ji Family paid a sizable compensation to spare Ji Shentu's life.

Recalling this, Chu Ergou felt strange. 'It hasn't even been a year since that incident. How come he's already re-cultivated to Early-stage Foundation Establishment? Were the rumors erroneous?'

Finally, he could only silently grit his teeth. He cursed his lack of fate with talent in any Profession.

"Eh?" Suddenly, the wheelchair pusher was startled. "Brother Chu, this courtyard seems to already be occupied."

Chu Ergou and Ji Shentu followed his line of sight. They instantly spotted a gray-haired man and a veiled lady. The pair returned their stares without blinking.

Chu Ergou quickly snapped out of his shock. His expression became unsightly.

"You two, who are you? How dare you sneak into a Private Courtyard of the Clan?!" He reached for his weapon's hilt and approached them.

Yan Anle reflexively took a step back under the pressure. His eyes narrowed slightly. "And you are…?"

Chu Ergou responded by partially unsheathing his weapon. His posture became more threatening. He insisted, "Make your identity known!"

Sun Ziyun had thrown on a veil at some point. Her radiated cultivation base was similar to his. If not for that, he would have attacked already.

Sun Ziyun stepped forward, shielding Yan Anle behind her. "You refuse to introduce yourself yet insist the other party does so?" Her gaze was cold as a cellar.

Her tone leaked nearly imperceptible irritation. "Who do you think you are?"

"Humph!" Chu Ergou snorted coldly and unsheathed his weapon completely.

"The Private Courtyards are only accessible to core members of the Main Vein and their Esteemed Guests."

Ji Shentu watched all this with a calm expression. "Xiaobao, peanuts."

His attendant replied, "Yes, Master." He retrieved a brown packet from his sleeve.

Meanwhile, Chu Ergou added, "You two sneaking in here, what is your intention? I suggest you prove your identities before I summon the Law Enforcement."

Yan Anle clicked his tongue. He realized the reason for this misunderstanding. Refusing to let things escalate, he patted Sun Ziyun's shoulder.

He stepped forward with his identity token in hand. "This is my identity token," he told the newcomers. "I am the owner of this courtyard."

"It's real…" Chu Ergou's eyes narrowed as he scrutinized the token.

Yan Anle's appearance did not ring any bells. However, no one knew every member of the Main Vein.

"But this only proves your identity as a member of the clan." He sheathed his sword. His tone became less aggressive.

"It does not prove you are the owner. This place should be empty." Yan Anle sighed. "As I said: a misunderstanding."

"I just happened to outlive the expectations of whoever manages the records." Chu Ergou mulled it over and cupped his fist. "Apologies for my behavior just now."

"After this, I will review the records of the Private Courtyard assignments." Yan Anle waved it off. "It's fine, it's fine."

He glanced at the 'audience'. "By the way, these two are..." Chu Ergou took a moment to introduce the cripple and his attendant.

'Ji Shentu?' Yan Anle mused inwardly. 'Why does that sound oddly familiar?'

He failed to recall it quickly but still exchanged greetings. Soon, Yan Anle and the Demon Princess watched the figures leave the courtyard.

The former cracked his neck with a subtle look in his eyes. The oppressive feeling had forced him to rely on someone else for safety. This hardened his resolve even further.

He said a few words to Sun Ziyun before returning to his bedchambers. He mentally called out to the systems. 'Pull up the Inventory,' he commanded.

"Yes, Host." The system displayed the list of Spirit Stones and potions.

It included Realm Breaking Pills and weapon redemption vouchers. There was even a Three Flames King's Frying Pan.

He silently scrolled for some time. 'I want to use the Special Bloodline Lottery Ticket.' [Immortal Clan System] obeyed, displaying a wheel for him.

The size of each grade on the wheel was inversely proportional to its rank. The lower the grade, the bigger its possibility on the wheel.

The tiers included Spirit, Profound, Earth, Heaven, Immortal, and Divine. There was a single golden line representing the Ancient-grade.

"...Spin!"

The moments seemed to stretch on forever. He silently prayed to whatever higher beings existed.

[Congratulations, Host! You have obtained the Immortal-grade Nether-Fire Butterfly Bloodline!]

[Fuse?]

He stared at the marker that was infinitely close to the Divine-grade section.

He was a bit reluctant. "Only Immortal-grade?" [Immortal Clan System] was exasperated.

"Host, your current world can only house up to Void Refining. Finding Heaven-grade Bloodlines is already like finding a needle in a haystack. Be content."

Yan Anle's gaze shifted to the [Yes] or [No] buttons. He probed, "This one will not trigger exaggerated heavenly phenomena, right?"

"There will still be phenomena," [Myriad Worlds] said. "The birth of anything against the rules of any world will trigger them. However, we can handle shielding it."

"Is that so?" Yan Anle licked his bottom lip. 'It seems that anything Divine and above is where things start to get tough for you?'

The systems did not respond.

"It's all good! Immortality is still a long way ahead of me anyway. It's all good." Yan Anle was satisfied. "Claim!"

As previously told, the fusion only made him feel itchy. Though, the itch was all over his body and so intense his face contorted as he resisted the urge to scratch.

The system window displayed the current progress.

[Nether-Fire Butterfly Bloodline is fusing with the Host. Current Progress: 3.08%]

In a few seconds, the value rose rapidly. It slowed down significantly after the 17% mark. It rose only 0.01% every few seconds.

The intense itching sensation receded. "Damn, if that lasted any longer, I would have scratched my skin off."

He shivered a bit as he rose to his feet. "Now, all I have to do is wait. In a few months, the bloodline fusion would be complete."

[Immortal Clan System] said, [During this waiting period, you can't fuse any other bloodline or physique.]

"I know."

[Myriad Worlds] added, [This period can be used to focus on the auctions. I have already curated the list of those to invite. All that is left is your order.]

Yan Anle was naturally pleased to hear this, "Good! Once Dou E and Pan Ting return with the workforce and the Blood Oaths, we can send them out!"

[Myriad Worlds]: [And what about the items for the Auction? Those have yet to be decided.]

"Right…" Yan Anle smacked his lips. "Let's get to that."
