I am Drake Cadman, and this is the story of my rebirth into a world of magic and wonders.
The sun was setting on the horizon when I opened my eyes for the first time in this new world. I didn't understand much back then, but I felt the comforting warmth of my mother's arms and the gentle voice of my father echoing around me.
"Look, Urd, our son has finally come into the world," my father said with a mix of joy and excitement in his voice.
My mother, Urd, smiled tenderly as she stroked my forehead. "He's perfect, Arvid. Our little Drake has come to brighten our lives."
And so, I began my journey in this new life, enveloped in the love and protection of my parents. In the early years, my existence consisted of discovering the world around me, learning the language of the trees, feeling the magic in the afternoon breezes.
I grew up in a small village where everyone knew each other, where the fields stretched as far as the eye could see, and where the streams sang ancient songs. My parents were retired adventurers, and although their lives were filled with exciting stories, they had chosen a quiet place to raise their family.
While other children played in the streets and fields, I sought refuge in the quiet corners of our home library, devouring the ancient tomes of magic that my mother kept tucked away. Each page was an invitation to a world of wonders and mysteries, and I dove in headfirst, eager to learn more.
One day, at the age of five, something extraordinary happened. As I leafed through an old book on healing spells, I felt a strange energy stirring within me. It was as if something was awakening, eager to manifest itself.
"Drake, what are you doing there alone in the library?" my mother asked, surprised to see me there.
I looked at her, eyes filled with awe and a hint of fear. "I... I think I did something, mom. Something strange."
My mother approached, curious, and then her eyes widened as she saw what I was holding in my hands.
"Drake, you... you're holding a withered flower, and now it's blooming again!" she exclaimed, amazed.
It was the beginning of something new and exciting in my life. I discovered that I could perform magic without reciting spells, a gift that defied all expectations and conventions known.
And so, in this moment of discovery and wonder, I began my journey into the unknown, with a heart full of hope and eyes shining with the promise of a new beginning.
