Sylas walked ahead, vanishing into the darkness. There was a flicker in Hoffman's eyes.
"How long can we expect it to take before he asks for help?" the old man asked, Akshat and Nobel having become distant memories already.
Malikhi gave Hoffman a look. He seemed to be about to say something, but then he looked over and met Fanelei's gaze. The latter seemed to still be enraged, but when she heard Hoffman's comment, a flicker of amusement lit her eyes instead.
She saw Malikhi's look as well and they both seemed to make the same decision.
