It felt as though the Basilisks had been resurrected. A Will that filled the skies shook the clouds and rustled the trees.
In the far-off distance, serpents who were simply trying to spectate froze in place. Those that had the slightest hint of malice in their hearts more than froze—their scales began to chip and petrify as they slowly turned to stone.
It was like they were being erased from existence, the pooling, endless Will from Sylas feeling like a tide they couldn't overcome no matter how hard they tried.
It was a gap that was simply insurmountable.
Sylas knew of the legend of Basilisks, of what they were capable of with their gazes, but he had never felt that Gogo had the ability to turn others to stone until this moment.
However, this was because Gogo's eyes were too weak to withstand the power of this extent of his talent.
Sylas' eyes, though… were not.
