Sylas finally seemed to register the notification. It seemed that he had actually gotten it a while ago, but even after finishing the refinement, it didn't improve any further.
Even so, he was starting to understand the purpose of the Throne. No… he was starting to understand the purpose of the Glassvolt Throne in specific.
This entire Path started from the Throne of Glass. But the Throne of Glass and the Throne of Glassvolt that he had mutated it from were two different things.
The Throne of Glass had two Paths: a Path of a King and a Path of an Emperor—one that took him to be a man of the people, a person whose actions were filtered through the hope and pain of their subjects, versus a person who acted for no one but themselves.
Sylas had picked the latter path. Though he saved Earth, it wasn't for the sake of the greater good or a large number of people. It was for his own selfish reasons.
