Sylas looked up from the large tome in front of him as Gwenu stormed in with furious momentum. She was practically like a constant tornado, bringing chaos and destruction wherever she went. Honestly, Sylas had no idea how she kept up this level of energy.
In truth, she reminded him a lot of his little sister—a little gremlin with too much energy and more intelligence than she knew what to do with. He imagined that when Elara grew up, she would be a lot like this.
The thought made Sylas realize it had been too long since he spoke to his family. There was no easy way for him to do so, and any communication devices that worked across such large distances had too many methods of being tracked.
