Ansla's heart was beating out of her chest at this point, rippling waves flooding over her delicate skin and flushing it red. She could tell what Sylas was talking about immediately, and the moment Sylas saw her reaction, he knew that his guesses had been correct.
It was just as he expected. The pillar of light that came with Megean's descent was a sign. But it was a sign that only the highest of Noble Demons would know of.
Clearly, by the reactions of the pig Demons to the pillar of light, they didn't know the significance of it. As far as Sylas could tell, they knew nothing at all.
So, there were only two possibilities at that point. Either he had been going off on an incorrect tangent all along and there was nothing at all for him to gain here in relation to Megean. Or… the Demon World was no different from any other world in that the upper echelon hid things from the "little people."
