"I'll just take a quick call; you can order for me," Whitney said as she excused herself to make the call, her focus shifting to business.
Suddenly, Tom approached our table, now wearing a manager's uniform. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience a while ago; there has been a mistake on our side of management. May I please take your orders again?"
"Wait, aren't you the waiter from a while ago?" Rex asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.
I considered stepping in, but Tom seemed to be handling the situation well.
"I'm a waiter and a manager here, which allows me to better assist customers and recommend dishes that match their preferences," he explained confidently.
"I see," Rex nodded, seeming to accept the explanation.
"Can you serve us the dishes you mentioned a while ago?" I asked, eager to eat since the
Tom smiled widely upon seeing me. "Sure thing, miss! I'll serve it to you right away!"
"Thank you," I replied, watching as Tom left to fulfill our order.
