Medusa hovered above, her massive serpentine lower half coiled in the air, her glowing violet eyes locked onto the crater.
Serafina and Ryu landed nearby, both catching their breath as they stared down at the destruction. Ryu wiped the sweat from his brow. "Did… did that actually work?"
Medusa remained silent, her glowing pupils narrowing. She could still feel it—Lucifer's presence, undiminished.
Then, a low chuckle echoed from the crater.
