Barty exhaled sharply, his shoulders heaving as the strain of his power faded. In a shimmer of light, his form shifted, dissolving back into Alex's visage.
"Let's finish this," he muttered, his voice calm but firm.
Lifting his hands, Barty summoned a surge of fire, fierce and unyielding. Flames erupted around him, their golden hues licking the ground as they spread outward. The heat was intense, melting the snow in wide circles as the fire consumed the remains of the undead. Smoke curled skyward in thick, acrid plumes, blotting the fading light.
