Remembering his parting hug, Betty screamed out once more.
"I told you to speed up, didn't you hear me?"
The driver turned his face, initially wanting to retort, but seeing the girl's tear-streaked face, he was startled.
"We're almost there, you... you don't need to worry."
Assuming she had a relative being treated here, the driver felt some sympathy for her, "Don't cry, everything will be alright."
"It won't be alright..." Betty choked as she wiped her face, "Perhaps I... I won't even get to see him one last time..."
