Later this afternoon at 3:39 p.m., in his room in the YKY headquarters, Shu was praying with his rosary for forgiveness and guidance for his path of atonement. He was technically a Roman Catholic, but other than that, he is like that. Although, he was a pious one like a Pietist. He did all this for Gen, and often, he prayed for over 1 hour per prayer session, often repeating his lines, often mixing lines in Spanish, Catalan, Occitan, Latin, and a few in Hungarian.
The room had its light off, and Shu used the sunlight through the windows as the lights at this hour.
However, Shu became skeptical about the Sedevacantist view of the papacy. He remembered sneaking out of the school compound during weekends to seek out other high church Protestant services, especially on Sundays after his school chapel hours. He saw the beauty of them: an Episcopal church with its alternative services and rejection of prayer to Mary and the saints, and a high-church Lutheran one with the procession that prompted everyone to stand up as the processional cross passed by down the aisle and bow a bit astonished, they sang hymns.
He remembered getting caught occasionally by his SSPX teachers f0r sneaking out without permission. He was only remorseful just for them to go away and did the sneaking out again and again while writing in his notebooks about the theology of Protestantism. He would pray without the intercession of Mary and the saints at his parents' home in his room. These middle school years are among the best for him.
He knew the trend of Gen-Zs becoming Catholic or Orthodox from secular atheism and low church Protestantism before the zombie outbreak, and he was familiar with one well-known Presbyterian YouTuber from America who belonged to a mainline Protestant denomination called the PCUSA. His name is ReformedYorker, because half of the title indicated that he came from New York. Shu planned to do the reverse by converting to Protestantism though maybe keeping the rosary while stripping off its doctrinal purposes. For now, he needed some time to face his guilt-based trauma and more study for the teológia ("theology" in Hungarian) of Protestantism.
