Chapter 442 - Chapter 419.1 : Grudge??

Why go to the "moon" of all places?

Well, you can blame Uchiha Sogetsu for that. After all, he's the "main body."

Still, Adam could more or less guess the reason.

Grudge!

Back when they left, they were nearly killed by that "Abomination." There's no way the main body would just let that go—if he did, he wouldn't be himself.

Now that they've finally returned, of course he's going to make that damned "Abomination" pay somehow!

"Sigh… the main body is great at everything, except he really holds grudges."

As a split-off personality with independent thought, Adam had his own views. He was more rational and didn't agree with this plan.

The reason was simple—the risk was too high!

The "Abomination" was a Sequence One on the Chained Pathway—naturally unique. A being like that was just half a step from Sequence Zero. In short, it was a true "King of Angels."

Even though it had now gone completely insane, its status hadn't fallen. It definitely wasn't some weakling like Pompeii.

Also, the Chained Pathway are tightly connected to the "Mother Tree of Desire."

If it wasn't absolutely necessary, Adam really didn't want anything to do with that thing.

The risk just didn't match the reward!

While Adam was lost in thought, the Staff of the Stars 0-62 successfully erased the Nibelungen domain from its strange, twisted space.

Buzz!!!

The space suddenly rippled with intense vibrations.

Like a massive rock smashing into the surface of a calm lake, the balance was shattered in an instant!

Finally—they were back!

That blue planet in the distance was the world of Naruto!

Adam wiped the sweat off his forehead and quickly used his mental power to suppress the 0-62 Staff of the Stars, which was trying to break free.

At that moment, sensing the return, Uchiha Sogetsu looked at that deeply familiar blue world.

The corner of his lips curled upward into a faint smile.

"Naruto World… I'm back!"

I wonder... after all this time, is Uchiha Hikari still doing okay?

Clearing his thoughts, the first thing Uchiha Sogetsu did after returning was try to contact the virtual persona he had left behind.

But something unexpected happened.

Before heading to the moon, he had specifically split off a virtual version of himself to maintain the arrangements in the Naruto world.

Yet now, the 'Adam' in that world had mysteriously fallen into a deep sleep, hidden so well that even he couldn't locate it.

Inside the Corpse Cathedral, Lu Mingze suddenly went still, his eyes becoming empty and lifeless.

Then, Adam walked in from outside, tightly gripping the 0-62 Staff of the Stars. The staff was violently struggling, but Adam forcefully suppressed it.

"Looks like he ran into some kind of problem he couldn't handle," Adam said, sensing carefully but still unable to locate the other 'Adam'. He handed the 0-62 staff over.

"Better for you to keep this. So, what's the plan now?"

A faint golden light flickered in Sogetsu's eyes. He easily sealed the struggling 0-62 and tossed it deep into space.

"What plan?"

"You're just going to leave that 'Adam' alone?" Adam tilted his head and asked.

"That 'Adam' doesn't need our attention for now."

Sogetsu shook his head, calmly placing his hands over his stomach and said softly, "I think I know where he's hiding."

"Oh?"

Adam looked at him curiously.

"Groselle's Travels."

Sogetsu chuckled and said plainly, "A sealing artifact created by the Dragon of Imagination, Ankewelt. It's absolutely secure. Even a true Sequence 0 can't locate someone inside it if they don't know about the item. That was the backup I left before I departed."

"I see. No wonder."

A look of understanding flashed in Adam's eyes as he nodded.

"Seems like a lot must've happened."

"No rush."

A faint glint appeared in Sogetsu's eyes.

"Now that I'm back, none of it will be a problem."

"Let me guess, you're planning to visit an 'old friend' first?"

Adam's thoughts raced as he quickly figured it out. He frowned slightly.

"But with our current strength, we can't do anything to that 'old friend.' Have you really thought this through?"

The 'old friend' he mentioned was, of course, the one hidden deep within the Moon—

The being born with the uniqueness of the Chained Pathway, a being just one rank below a Sequence Zero True God—

The King of Angel.

The Abomination.

Reflected in Uchiha Sogetsu's eyes was the pale gray asteroid orbiting the blue planet.

He spoke softly, "I know very well—that's a King of Angel. Even if it's lost its mind now, it's still far beyond what a Sequence Two can handle."

"If you know that, then why go?"

Adam couldn't understand. Wouldn't it be better to just stay calm, finish the preparations, and wait to ascend to Sequence One?

A mad King of Angel was, in some ways, even more dangerous than a sane one.

Especially this Abomination—

It had ties to the Mother Tree of Desire. If they accidentally got corrupted, things would spiral out of control fast.

They might end up like the Emperor—doing sit-ups from a coffin.

Honestly, Adam didn't think going after the Abomination right now was a smart move.

"Two reasons."

Sogetsu tapped the armrest of his chair and said flatly,

"First, I never hold grudges—but anyone who crosses me makes it hard for me to sleep.

Second, the version of Adam I left in the Naruto world would never fall asleep for no reason.

Whatever could threaten him is most likely tied to the Abomination."

"Got it."

As a separated Virtual Persona, Adam had his own mind.

But after understanding the main body's reasoning, he didn't hesitate to agree.

Finding out why the Naruto-world Adam went dormant affected the course of the world,

And the timing of the advancement ritual—

It couldn't be taken lightly.

So the Moon—

They had to go there, no matter what!

As for Lu Mingze?

Let him stay put for now.

Uchiha Sogetsu rose from the massive bronze chair.

A divine pressure that couldn't be described radiated from him, surpassing that of a Saint.

He didn't hold back—

The entire cathedral was flooded with this divine presence.

In the churning sea of subconsciousness,

He descended the staircase built from nothingness, like an eternal god from beyond time.

A strange, pitch-black shadow instantly clung to him, moving with him like a second skin.

"Let's go. Time to pay this 'old friend' a visit."

"Alright."

Adam's lips curled into a smile. "Perfect. I needed to test what I can really do with all the Dragon Kings' authorities combined."

At the same time, a projected version of himself appeared, seated on the massive bronze throne.

And on the bronze table in front of him, a seemingly ordinary feather pen suddenly appeared—The Quill of Alzuhod.

"What's this?"

Adam looked puzzled, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.

He didn't understand—why bring this out now? Weren't they afraid it might cause trouble at a crucial moment?

"Just in case."

Uchiha Sogetsu smiled. "I never fight unprepared. When the time comes, it'll cause a little… 'accident.'"

Adam fell silent. He glanced oddly at his 'real body', then gave a thumbs-up. "That's so you—devious as ever!"
