Chapter 419 - Chapter 407.2 : Leviathan Killed!!

Roar—!

Looking at the approaching Pompeii, Leviathan let out a long, deep whale song.

It knew escape was impossible, so it unleashed its final power, aiming to heavily injure its former 'kind'!

Boom!

Invisible power spread across the ocean floor, sending waves of water swirling and crashing.

For a moment, it felt as though some force was stirring the sea, the entire water region boiling. Visible ripples expanded continuously, converging toward Leviathan.

The surging water seemed to be... bowing to their king!

The calm ocean seemed to be torn apart by an invisible force, creating a terrifying sight of fractures!

Pompeii's pupils suddenly contracted as he felt a suffocating pressure.

"Good, I've been waiting for this moment!" He summoned Gungnir back, gripping its black spear tightly. Lines of inscriptions began to glow.

Invisible threads of fate shot out from the tip of Gungnir, locking onto Leviathan's heart!

Then, Gungnir was hurled, its trajectory erratic under the immense pressure of the deep sea, twisting and spinning, its deathly aura closing in.

"Roar!"

Leviathan didn't try to stop the approaching Gungnir. Instead, it squeezed out its final bit of strength, forcing its ultimate incantation to activate.

Word Soul · Guixu!

In the next moment, the once calm deep sea suddenly turned into boiling water, with countless waves and undercurrents rising and falling.

The raging waters surged at hundreds of kilometers per hour, and the roar of the waves gradually became deafening, as if nature itself was angrily howling!

Pompeii, caught in the undercurrent, was swept away by the incoming tsunami.

The immeasurable sea, like a moving mountain, collided with Pompeii's body with overwhelming force, the booming sound echoing in his ears.

The roar of the waves grew louder and more deafening, like nature's furious scream!

The terrifying impact, carrying millions of tons of pressure, made cracks appear on Pompeii's body as he was caught in the super-fast current.

However, he still laughed, his face twisted with savagery and arrogance.

"Hahaha, now is the time!"

In the midst of the rapidly sweeping ocean currents, Pompeii directly pulled out the bottle of magic potion.

Looking at the thick, storm-like liquid swirling inside, he didn't hesitate, uncapping the bottle and drinking it all in one gulp.

Clad in a yellow robe, Zaratul stood on the icy shore where the waves crashed, his gaze fixed on the deep sea.

With his Spirit Vision, he could clearly see that Pompeii's spiritual and mental state was undergoing a tremendous transformation, and the man himself was experiencing a qualitative leap.

"Next is Sequence Three."

Zaratul's eyes were cold and indifferent, like a piece of ancient, unmoving ice.

Then, his figure slowly faded away like foam, as if he had never existed at all.

During the short rest in Cassel, Lu Mingfei and Chu Zihang quickly regained their mobility.

Although Schneider protested vehemently, he couldn't go against the higher authority. Reluctantly, he released Xia Mi, though he still harbored deep hostility toward this 'Dragon King.'

Xia Mi, however, was indifferent to Schneider's attitude. What bothered her more was the meaning behind the words Hilbert had left when he departed that day.

Last time, someone had forcibly entered her Nibelungen, leaving behind a similar sentence before leaving in a carefree manner.

"Aaaah, this is so annoying!"

Xia Mi desperately rubbed her hair, then lay helplessly on the table.

She hated riddles, especially when people spoke half-heartedly!

"Xia Mi, please head to the strategy room immediately. Professor Schneider is waiting for you there."

Suddenly, a notification from Norma popped up on her phone.

Strategy room?

Xia Mi paused for a moment. She was the Dragon King now!

What was wrong with Schneider? Why was she being called to the strategy room?

She couldn't figure out the reason no matter how hard she thought. Xia Mi just grabbed her phone, threw on a jacket, and hurried downstairs.

The distance from the dorm to the strategy room wasn't too far. On the way, she ran into Caesar and Nono. It seemed like after the last incident, the two of them had grown even closer.

"Did you guys get the message too?" Xia Mi raised her phone, asking tentatively.

"Yeah."

Caesar nodded, then glanced to the side and said, "It looks like it's about the 'Pompeii' situation."

Xia Mi followed his gaze and saw Chu Zihang and Lu Mingfei.

The two exchanged a glance, and the atmosphere immediately fell into an awkward silence.

"Hello."

Chu Zihang was the first to speak, breaking the silence.

"Hey, long time no see."

Xia Mi waved awkwardly, but for some reason, her mind flashed back to Hilbert's ambiguous expression, and her face turned slightly red.

"You two can flirt later." Nono suddenly stepped forward, winking at Xia Mi, then grabbed her hand. "Let's go. Otherwise, Professor Schneider will start yelling again."

"I-I wasn't flirting!"

Xia Mi's face turned even redder, like a ripe tomato, shy and tempting.

Luckily, after entering the war room, Xia Mi finally calmed down, trying hard not to look at Chu Zihang, sitting upright.

Schneider still looked as cold as ever, standing in front of the projection screen, his tone heavy. "We've found Pompeii's trace."

The first sentence made everyone in the room tense up, and the atmosphere in the meeting room became much heavier.

"This is a video. I hope after you watch it, you can give me your thoughts."

With that, Schneider used Norma's technology to convert the satellite images into a smooth video.

On the screen was a turbulent ocean, thunder flashing through the snowstorm, making the whole image blurry. The extreme weather made it hard to see exactly what was happening.

However, Lu Mingfei and the others patiently kept watching.

Soon, the raging waves revealed large amounts of bright red blood, like dyed silk, shocking to the eyes!

"What is this?"

Lu Mingfei couldn't help but ask.

"Keep watching," Schneider signaled for him to be quiet.

Then, the waves, seemingly pulled by some force, formed a huge vortex.

A figure stepped onto the vortex, slowly emerging from the deep sea.

"Wait, zoom in on the image!" Lu Mingfei's pupils shrank, unable to control his shout.

This time, Schneider didn't stop him but nodded toward the empty space.

In the next moment, the area where the figure was located was magnified dozens of times by Norma.

A giant creature, dozens of meters long, covered in bite marks, with blood gushing out like a stream, staining a large area of the seabed rocks red. The scene was extremely horrifying!

"What is that?"

Nono asked.

Lu Mingfei and Xia Mi stared at the creature on the screen and instinctively said, "The King of the Ocean and Water. Leviathan!"

"Correct. Although it hasn't been verified, but..."

Schneider pointed at the giant beast on the screen, as well as the shadowy figure, and said in a serious tone, "It's almost certain that the King of the Ocean and Water, Leviathan. And Pompeii… a few hours ago, in the Greenland region, killed it and absorbed its power!"
