An Ran could obviously hear the undertones in her words, so she gave an awkward smile and then said nothing.
Lin Lan continued to probe, "Now that you're not studying, what are you up to?"
"Not much."
"Do you have a backup plan?"
This sounded formal, but An Ran could still catch the implication. Her expression turned slightly annoyed, but after a moment, she realized there was no point in being annoyed.
However, after all these years, Lin Lan seemed unchanged.
An Ran took a casual sip of her drink, pursing her lips, her face slightly cold, saying nothing.
Lin Lan could tell that An Ran was upset, but she didn't care at all. She pulled a business card out of her shiny bag and handed it to her, "I just want to help you. You're actually very pretty, and naturally so. A lot of people would like you. If you need anything, feel free to contact me."
With that, she didn't wait for An Ran to respond and stood up, flipping her hair proudly as she walked away.
