"Good! Wait for me, I'll be right back." Ji Chuan said before turning and leaving. Shortly after, he returned with an ice pop in hand, "Here, cool off."
"You went out just to buy an ice pop?"
"Yes. Don't just stand there, come eat it!" Ji Chuan unwrapped the ice pop and placed it in Yan Huan's hand, "Finish it, sweat a bit, and then hurry back."
"What about you? Aren't you getting off work?" Yan Huan asked while biting the ice pop, tilting her head towards Ji Chuan, "I wanted to have dinner with you today."
"Not today. I have a night shift tonight," Ji Chuan replied.
"Alright. Since that's the case, I guess we won't." Yan Huan felt a little regretful, but she understood the nature of his work and supported him.
