Tian Niu suddenly turned around and looked toward the source of the voice, only to see a wonton stall not far from him, with Gan Tian sitting beside it, smiling at him.
"Gan Tian!!" Tian Niu was very surprised and quickly stepped forward to face her, "Why aren't you at the base? How come you're here?"
"This is my hometown! Captain Tian, why are you here?" Hong Mei feigned surprise.
"Don't call me Captain Tian. Just call me by my name." Tian Niu lowered his voice, saying, "I'm here on a secret mission!"
"Secret mission? What secret mission?" Hong Mei inquired about this secret mission.
"I can't tell you that." Tian Niu waved his hand quickly, "That's all I can tell you, saying more would be leaking information.
Hong Mei smiled, patted the stool beside her: "Captain, come sit down and have a bowl of wontons before you go back! My treat."
Tian Niu looked at the time: "No, I need to return to the unit! In an hour and a half, it's time to change shifts."
