"Can you promise me that you won't hurt them again?" An Hao asked in a deep voice.
"I can!" Mu Qiankun answered without hesitation.
"No! Sister, don't trust my dad! His words are completely unreliable!" Mu Mian shouted anxiously. "If you choose to trust him, you will regret it!"
"Mu Mian!" Mu Qiankun bellowed. Because of the exertion, the blade pressed in further, so he quickly eased his body. "Why don't you trust me?"
"I just don't trust you! You've never kept your word!" Mu Mian retorted.
"Fine! Then we'll just keep this standoff going!" Mu Qiankun knew that while An Hao was trying to counterbalance him, he held leverage against her too.
Right now, their situation was one of mutual restraint.
