An Hao joined the exam on the very day she reported to the hospital. In fact, if she were directly assigned, An Hao could have gotten a decent placement too, since she is the Commander's daughter-in-law.
The relationships within the military are all interconnected; the leaders are well aware of who's related to whom in their families.
However, An Hao still hoped to stay at the affiliated hospital.
She was familiar with the hospital and really liked its environment and atmosphere. The key point was that it was close to home, and if both spouses were soldiers, one of them had to take care of home, right?
Needless to say, An Hao ended up staying and working at the affiliated hospital as a result of the exam.
But before entering the Cardiac Surgery department, An Hao needed to spend a year or so in General Surgery to become accustomed to everything she had to learn before moving on to Cardiac Surgery.
