Qin Jian's lips curled into a cold arc, his sharp gaze narrowing behind Lin Qiushu where Wang Jiu had coiled his entire body into a ball: "Your best option right now is to drop the hostage and run for your life! You will be the last one to be surrounded and captured."
A chill ran down Wang Jiu's spine as he heard this.
Despite his reluctance to admit it, the truth was undeniable.
The problem at hand was whether he could escape if he abandoned the hostage. He wasn't particularly smart, but he wasn't foolish to that extent, either.
"No." Wang Jiu swallowed and said to Qin Jian in almost a negotiating tone, "How about this, I'll take her with me as I leave, and I promise to leave her in a safe place. I'm only after the money, I don't want to have a death on my hands."
Qin Jian shook his head in refusal.
