The hospital was shrouded in silence.
Guan Qing lay in the hospital bed, staring at the ceiling with eyes wide open, unable to fall asleep.
Slight footsteps echoed down the hallway. Guan Qing assumed it was the night nurse and paid it no mind, turning her body away from the door with a long sigh.
Suddenly, the door creaked open, and a dark figure slipped in.
Upon hearing the noise, Guan Qing turned to look, only to see the silhouette of a muscular man before her. Her heart skipped a beat, and before she could let out a scream, the man spoke first.
"Sister Guan, it's me! I'm Wang Jiu!"
"Wang Jiu?" Guan Qing sat up, about to turn on the bedside lamp.
"Don't turn on the lights," Wang Jiu hurriedly stopped her.
