Author's POV…
It was 3am in the morning but Alpha Axel isn't still showing any sign of sleeping yet.
His right hand was entwined with Scarlett as he stared at her praying silently for her to wake up.
Scarlett has been unconscious for the past four hours, the sedatives used on her were working pretty well
Alpha Axel couldn't sleep, he sacrificed his sleep just to stay awake and wait till Scarlett wakes.
He is damn worried about her and really hoped she would be calmed by the time she wakes up.
Ray's sudden disappearance didn't bother him too much, all that he cares for right now is the safety of Scarlett.
His woman comes first.
After Scarlett becomes fine, he can then know what to do about Ray's disappearance because right now, he isn't concentrating on whatever he was doing.
"You remember the first time I met you in the woods, you were scared like hell. The expression looks funny and I almost laughed," he said with a chuckle as he stroked her hair.
