Chapter 100 - Talk

They saw the join door of Team RWBY and Team OPCF, as team RWBY looked at the closed door.

Yang just looked at her teammates. "So.... We are getting more love Rivels aren't we"

Weiss, Ruby and Blake spire together. "Seems like it".

Yang just gronned as she spoke. "Sure because my Teammate, My Sister and Velvet was not enough universe".

Ruby just smirked, leaning on the doorframe. "Hey, at least it keeps things interesting."

Weiss crossed her arms, sighing. "Interesting is one word for it. Chaotic, exhausting, and emotionally compromising are others."

Blake hummed behind her book. "You're just jealous Oscar gonna give Fiona more attention now."

Weiss' eyes twitched. "I am not jealous!"

Yang laughed, tossing an arm over Blake's shoulder. "Oh, you totally are, Ice Queen. Don't worry, though — I'm sure Oscar still has room in his schedule to lecture us about proper laundry sorting."

Ruby giggled. "Or how to not blow up the kitchen. Again."

At that, all of them turned to Yang.

Yang blinked. "…Okay, that was one time!"

Weiss: "Three times."

Blake: "Actually four, if you count the incident with the pancakes."

Ruby: "That one smelled kinda nice, though."

Yang just facepalmed. "I'm surrounded by traitors."

The sound of laughter echoed faintly through the door — just as Oscar's voice could be heard faintly from the other side, scolding Ciel for trying to clean with military precision while Fiona was sneaking extra pancakes onto her plate.

Ruby blinked at the muffled noise, then smiled softly. "Yeah… this is gonna be interesting."

Later that night in the rooftop, with Oscar and Blake.

Blake opend her Can of Coke as she spoke. "So, how are you gonna hide your, Gamer system from your new teammates".

Oscar leaned back against the railing, the moonlight glinting off his Scroll as he sipped from a can of iced coffee. "Honestly? I'm not sure yet. Fiona's too curious for her own good, Ciel keeps inventory like it's a military operation, and Penny… well, she's Penny. If she finds out, she'll probably ask the system how it's feeling."

Blake chuckled softly, sitting beside him. "That sounds about right. But seriously, you've gotten better at keeping it under wraps. The others only think you're some kind of hyper-efficient prodigy."

He smirked faintly. "Well, I am that too."

She rolled her eyes but smiled. "Cocky much?"

Oscar took another sip. "Maybe a little. But between Weiss asking for reports, Yang trying to steal my food, and Ruby wanting to 'borrow' my notes, I've had good practice hiding things."

Blake gave a small hum, her cat ears twitching in amusement. "Still, this team dynamic might expose you sooner or later. Fiona's a Faunus — sharper hearing, sharper intuition. Ciel's the type to audit your life. Penny's literally a walking sensor array."

Oscar sighed, staring out at the stars. "Yeah… I know. But maybe that's okay. Last time I tried to hide everything, it didn't end well. Maybe this time, I can trust them a little."

Blake looked at him quietly for a moment, then smiled softly. "You've changed, Oscar."

He turned to her, half-smiling. "You mean grown up?"

She shook her head. "No. You've stopped running."

A comfortable silence settled between them — just the hum of the city below, and the faint sound of wind brushing past.

After a while, Blake smirked slightly. "Still, if Penny does find your system, I'm not saving you when she starts asking if it can play 'human interaction simulations.'"

Oscar groaned. "Please don't jinx it."

Blake took another sip of her Coke. "Too late."

Blake then sighed as she looked at his shadow. "We will talk about the whole Penny Obsession with your Anti Hero Identity of the White Mask later, but what about them?".

Oscar looked at his shadow as Nyx and Cerbie came out his shadow, Oscar looked at the Grimm Cat and Dog. "Yeah, how do I hide them, when I was in Team ROWBY you could cover for me".

Blake looked at the two shadowy creatures materializing beside Oscar — Nyx stretching like a lazy panther, her eyes glowing with that faint violet hue, and Cerbie wagging his smoky tail, letting out a small gruff of excitement before curling beside Oscar's feet.

She sighed, resting her cheek on her palm. "You really don't make things easy for yourself, do you?"

Oscar chuckled under his breath. "Says the former terrorist who hides novels inside romance covers."

Blake glared lightly but didn't deny it. "Touché. Still, you can't just keep summoning Grimm pets in a dorm full of cameras. Atlas Academy practically has eyes in the walls."

Nyx flicked her tail, meowing in that distorted, almost human tone. "I resent being called a pet."

Cerbie barked once in agreement, his spectral form flickering slightly in the moonlight.

Oscar groaned softly. "See? Even they don't like staying hidden."

Blake tilted her head, thoughtful. "They respond to your aura and emotions, right? Maybe you can keep them in partial form — shadows within your own. Less noticeable unless someone's really looking."

Oscar nodded. "That's what I was planning. But… Penny might pick up on their aura signatures if she's close enough. And Fiona might hear them. Cerbie can't help his bark when someone knocks."

Blake smirked faintly. "Then you'll just have to train them to act like normal shadows."

He looked at her with mock seriousness. "Training Grimm to behave. That's a new one."

She shrugged. "You trained yourself to act normal after everything that happened last year. I'd say you're qualified."

Oscar chuckled again, glancing down at Nyx and Cerbie as they melted back into the floor, merging seamlessly with his shadow. "Guess we're all still learning how to play human."

Blake smiled softly. "Some of us are doing better than others."

Oscar leaned back, the faint hum of the night air brushing past. "Yeah… but at least this time, I'm not doing it alone."

Blake gave a small nod, her gaze drifting to the stars. "And that makes all the difference."

Blake then looked at Nyx. "Also... Sense when did the Cat start to talk".

Oscar looked at Nyx as he spoke. "This morning, before we were called in Ozpin Office and he told us about will this mess".

Blake blinked, her golden eyes narrowing as she processed that. "Wait… this morning? So, you just… woke up and your Grimm cat decided to develop speech?"

Nyx flicked her tail, unimpressed. "Develop is such a primitive term. I merely decided it was inefficient to communicate through gestures alone."

Oscar groaned, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah, and she's been insufferable about it ever since. She even corrected my grammar while I was brushing my teeth."

Blake raised an eyebrow, fighting back a smirk. "You're telling me your Grimm familiar has better grammar than you?"

Nyx purred smugly. "Obviously. Someone in this partnership needs to maintain standards."

Cerbie barked once — the sound oddly like laughter.

Oscar shot both of them a glare. "I swear, one day I'm installing a mute button on you two."

Nyx tilted her head with mock innocence. "You could try. But then who would stop you from burning another omelette?"

Blake couldn't hold back a small laugh this time. "Okay, I'm starting to see why Weiss was always ready to throw you out the window."

Oscar pointed at her, faking offense. "Hey, I only deserved that three times— maybe four."

Blake took a sip of her Coke, still chuckling. "You've got your hands full this year, huh? New team, new problems, and now your Grimm can sass you."

Oscar sighed, leaning back against the railing. "Yeah… but somehow, it still feels calmer than last year."

Nyx's eyes glowed faintly as she lay near his feet. "That's because the storm hasn't started yet, Oscar."

Blake and Oscar exchanged a glance.

"...And now she's ominous," Blake muttered. "Great. Perfect."

Oscar got as he spoke. "Well, I guess, this new partner ship, is gonna be something".

Blake looked at him as she spoke. "Yeah well, things are gonna be different this year, last year we only had Roman".

Oscar's looked at her as he spoke. "Hey we still have him, and don't forget our own Criminal Group".

Blake rolled her eyes as she spoke. "Yeah, yeah, Mr White".

Oscar chuckled lightly, brushing some dust off his jacket as he leaned against the railing again. "Hey, I told you, that name was supposed to be temporary. I didn't expect it to stick."

Blake smirked over her can. "You literally branded it on your mask."

"...Okay, yeah, maybe that was on me." Oscar admitted, rubbing his neck awkwardly. "But in my defense, it sounded cool at the time."

Blake gave him a sideways glance. "You mean edgy."

"Tomato, tomahto," Oscar replied with a grin. "Besides, 'Mr White' has kind of a mysterious ring to it. People either think I'm a mob boss or a ghost story."

Blake chuckled under her breath. "Or just a bored student with too much time and tech."

Oscar snapped his fingers. "Exactly! A bored student who may or may not run a network of vigilantes-slash-smugglers with questionable morals."

She sighed, shaking her head with an amused smile. "You're lucky no one at Beacon knows the full story. Or that you're literally working with the White Fang splinter group on top of that."

Oscar shrugged, half proud, half tired. "Hey, I told you — it's not their White Fang anymore. We're trying to fix the mess Sienna and Adam left behind. A more... balanced operation."

Blake looked at him, her eyes softening for a brief moment. "You're still carrying too much weight for one person, you know that?"

Oscar gave a small smile, looking at the shattered moon above. "Yeah… maybe. But after everything last year, I think I'd rather carry it myself than see someone else break under it."

Blake sighed, standing up and patting his shoulder as she walked past. "Just don't forget to breathe, 'Mr White.'"

Oscar looked at her, a hint of a grin on his lips. "You sound like Ruby when you say that."

Blake stopped at the door, glancing back. "That's because she's usually right."

As she left, Nyx looked up at Oscar, her tail flicking lazily.

"Do you think she suspects you're building another network?"

Oscar smirked. "Oh, she knows. She's just pretending not to — for now."

Cerbie barked softly, and Oscar sighed. "Yeah, I know, buddy… this year's gonna be chaos."

Oscar looker at Blake as he spoke. "So, let's go before our dorms before both team gets worried".

Blake looked at him as he spoke. "Yeah, well, Let's go".

They both them kissed, as they walked back too dorm, as Oscar saw one thing from his system

Ding!

[Kissing Skil Leveled Up

Level 5 →6]

Oscar blinked twice as the familiar blue box hovered in front of him, glowing faintly in the moonlight.

Blake looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "...Did your system just level up your kissing?"

Oscar froze mid-step, the faintest shade of red on his face. "Uh… maybe?"

Blake crossed her arms, staring at him. "You're telling me it keeps track of that?"

He scratched his cheek awkwardly. "Apparently it keeps track of everything. Skills, combat, cooking, kissing… romantic interaction data?"

Blake's tail flicked in mild annoyance, though her cheeks had gone slightly pink. "You really need to put a privacy mode on that thing."

Oscar looked at his system window and muttered, "Note to self: figure out how to disable social skill tracking…"

The system dinged again.

[New Skill Learned: Awkward Damage Control – Level 1]

Blake blinked before slowly breaking into a laugh. "...Okay, that one's deserved."

Oscar groaned as the two of them continued walking back toward the dorm. "I hate my life sometimes."

Blake smiled softly as she bumped his shoulder. "You love it."

Oscar smirked. "Yeah… maybe I do."

The two of them disappeared into the Beacon halls under the quiet hum of night — with one last faint ding from his system.
