Mai Xiaomai's father, seeing her expression, understood that she didn't want him to tell her mother about his injury right now.
His wife often overreacted, and telling her might cause her to panic and rush over, which could result in an accident.
"As long as everything's fine. Well, I won't keep you any longer. Knowing you're with Xiaomai puts my mind at ease. I don't know when Duoduo will get better; staying in the hospital all the time is getting to me."
