Mai's father grabbed Mai's mother's hand, his heart aching as he spoke, "Xiaomai has finally come back after much difficulty, and you hit her again. If you don't feel pain, I do."
Mai's mother lowered her hand and embraced Mai Xiaomai, crying for a while, "After the plane crashed, where on Earth did you run off to? How could you not think to contact your family? We were all heartbroken for you."
"I'm sorry, Mom and Dad, I wanted to come back, but I couldn't. I fell into an indigenous forest and simply couldn't find my way out,"
Mai Xiaomai explained, crying.
"I knew our Xiaomai wasn't dead, I knew she would come back."
Mai's father pulled Xiaomai up to her feet. "As long as you're not dead, that's good, that's good."
After talking for a while and calming down a bit, Mai Xiaomai introduced Abis and Pus to her parents.
She explained that they were her lifesavers and that she had lived with them for the past half year.
