Far away at the border between Yungui, it was raining there too.
This rain was nothing like the gentle rain in Shanghai, it was a full-on downpour, thunder and lightning ripping through the sky, making the stretch of forest before them look even more sinister and terrifying.
In the command vehicle, Leng Zirui was in field gear, studying the electronic map intently.
"...We ran into those bastards in this area before. They took the children of local farmers as hostages..." Xu Dawei's colleague was carefully explaining the whole situation to the group.
Leng Zirui listened closely, occasionally asking a few questions, his brows slightly furrowed.
Weather like this was extremely unfavorable for a rescue operation.
The heavy rain would wash away any traces and scent the enemy might have left in the forest; not only did it make tracking difficult, even the search dogs couldn't really function, and the weather itself was a huge obstacle.
