"Xiao Bei, it's me. I've finished my things. Do you want me to come and pick you up?"
The voice on the other end was Mo Wen's, sounding concerned. He knew she didn't drive, and since she was having a gathering with friends, drinking was inevitable, so he specifically called to inquire.
"It's fine, no need." Mo Bei tried to sound relaxed.
Mo Wen listened to the quietness around her and grew worried in his tone, "Where are you?"
"Me?..." Mo Bei glanced at Jiao Yang's villa behind her, "I've already left, just about to catch a cab. Bro, don't worry, I'll be home soon. The taxi's here, that's it, I'll hang up now."
On the other end, Mo Wen listened to the sound of the call disconnecting, slightly raised an eyebrow, and lowered his right hand.
"Did something happen?" Nearby, Mo Bei's father Mo Wenxiu descended the staircase and asked worriedly.
"It's nothing." Mo Wen turned his head, "Xiao Bei said she'll be back shortly."
