The officers who followed him inside promptly stepped forward, moved the charred corpse out of the morgue, and loaded it into the police car. After a brief exchange, Inspector Charlie took "Leng Zimo's" body back to the police station.
Standing among the onlookers outside the hospital, Leng Zimo watched the police car as it drove away. He then turned and walked to the street, got into Ah Jiu's car, which immediately started, taking him away from the scene of the incident.
The police car quickly returned to the station, where Inspector Charlie immediately arranged for the returned body to be sent to the coroner for an autopsy.
