Weilan frowned with disgust, feeling utterly nauseated. She struggled violently and slapped Lu Heyan hard across the face.
"Smack—" The crisp sound silenced the entire room.
The night was tranquil, unusually so.
Weilan squinted at Lu Heyan.
Lu Heyan's body stiffened slightly, and he cast a cold glance at Weilan before suddenly raising his hand and delivering a slap.
"Smack—" Another crisp slap landed on Weilan's face.
Weilan's cheek instantly swelled and reddened, and her lip was cut by her teeth because of the force, causing a trickle of blood to appear.
She covered her face with her hand, squinting at Lu Heyan.
Lu Heyan said coldly, "Just because I've always been reluctant to hit you doesn't mean I can allow you to treat me like nothing. Shen Weilan, remember this: I am not a man you can slap at will, especially not my face."
"Spit—" Weilan retorted coldly, mocking him, "Lu Heyan, you disgust me. In my eyes, you're nothing but a cockroach, a disgusting cockroach."
