Chen Jingbo heard Weilan's words and gave a faint smile. The curve of his lips just revealed his big white teeth, dazzling enough to be in a toothpaste commercial.
"You've just thought to ask now?" Chen Jingbo said with a smile.
Seeing his attitude, Weilan didn't understand what he meant, so she spoke, "Being able to come and go here freely, and your last name is Chen, you must be a part of the Chen family."
"Yes, a relative," Chen Jingbo said. "I'm related to Chief Chen and Mrs. Chen."
Weilan saw he didn't want to say more, so she didn't ask further.
"How about it? Want to eat?" Chen Jingbo asked again.
Weilan gave a helpless smile, "Since the hospitality is so enthusiastic, it's better to comply than to refuse politely."
Chen Jingbo smiled slightly, "That's more like it, let's go."
Following him to the dining table, Weilan saw it was set with six dishes and a soup, well-balanced between meat and vegetables, nutritious yet understated, not extravagant but very wholesome.
