Du Mingrui left in a huff.
Jian Xi sent a WeChat message to Wan Yu, "Sorry, I doubt Du Mingrui will be signing with you."
Wan Yu replied, "What? She wants to compete with you for Si Yuhuan?"
Jian Xi, "I wish she *were* trying to steal Si Yuhuan!"
She would have been glad if Du Mingrui had come for Si Yuhuan.
Jian Xi, "That woman's got dollar signs in her eyes, actually thinking of using New Fashion Media and Yaowang to secure her top-tier status indefinitely. Such wishful thinking."
Wan Yu, "Wow! Why didn't I think of that? That little wench is too bold. I'll have a word with her."
Jian Xi didn't stop her. She knew all too well how capable Wan Yu's maneuvers were. Du Mingrui wouldn't likely gain any advantage over her.
She had braced herself for disappointment, but to her surprise, Wan Yu called her half an hour later.
"It's so weird."
"Huh?" Jian Xi was puzzled.
