Fu Hanwen and Xiao Ruo arrived at the Miao Mansion together. Knowing their daughter and Miao Ruochen's two sons were in the main courtyard learning from Miao Xian, the couple went straight there.
To their surprise, Lady Meng and Miao Ruochen were also present in the main courtyard.
Miao Xian was recounting stories of his experiences from when he was exiled, and except for Lady Meng, everyone was listening intently.
Fu Hanwen and Xiao Ruo signaled the maid to stay quiet, not wanting to disturb them.
Once Miao Xian finished, Xiao Ruo laughed as she walked in with Fu Hanwen: "I was wondering how Dad ended up teaching a lesson in the hall; turns out he was storytelling."
Seeing them, Miao Ruochen asked curiously: "Huh, didn't you say you were going out of town?"
"We'll leave in a bit; we just came to see Wu You." Xiao Ruo smiled at her daughter running towards them: "Slow down."
