Lu Xiaoyou raised her head, looking at the man whose head she had shaved to a close-cut. The corners of her mouth tugged upward gently.
The blood on the man's face had been washed away, leaving only the scar on the side of his cheek, faintly pink.
His eyes had regained clarity, becoming clean and clear under the mist's permeation.
Lu Xiaoyou opened her mouth, intending to say something, but found her throat dry and hoarse, unable to make a sound.
The man took a bottle of mineral water from the side, opened it, and handed it to Lu Xiaoyou.
