Long Xingkui felt half of her face go numb. She widened her eyes, startled and suspicious. She had been bitten by an animal—how could this happen?
Will her face become paralyzed?!
"Miss Ninth, let's take you back to the Ninth Sub-island."
The personnel at the port found a blanket and draped it over Long Xingkui. She was already wearing scant clothing, and now that her clothes were soaked, the cold night wind chilled her to the bone, causing her to shiver.
Long Xingkui removed her hand from the half of her cheek it covered, allowing the crew around her to see two bloody holes on her jade-like fair cheek.
Blood poured continuously from those holes, with two streams dividing her exquisite and sweet visage.
She wanted to speak but realized she couldn't open the part of her lips that were bitten.
The crew shouted, "Miss Ninth is injured!"
Someone took out tissues to wipe the blood off Long Xingkui's face.
"Why won't the bleeding stop?"
