"Revenge to us!" the leader of the ghost pirates, Blackmarrow, shouted his ghostly battle cry while raising his pirate sword up on the air, before commencing the invasion on the country while laughing like a sadistic and greedy villain.
His men then charged fast and with sheer brutality.
Russell and his group were shocked and horrified by this and started running for their lives while carrying the majority of their stuff with them.
But those who were unfortunate were slaughtered by the ghost pirates.
In just minutes, Kate-Raler and the main island were overrun by the Chuchilla Ghost Pirates. But the YIF's military did their best to repel the invaders. Some of them are mages that use magic to repel and attack some of them. Meanwhile, upon seeing that while readying for his new day route, was shocked and remembering the curse that happens every 10 years, Gerald gave out instructions to his crew and passengers to stay inside the ferry and calm down, before sprinting out to counteract the pirates of the ghostly realm. He was familiar with this and had a powerful ability to counteract them. So, Gerald went to the beach where Blackmarrow's ship was parked near the sands while acting tough and brave.
"Hey, you!" he shouted at them.
Blackmarrow and some of his close crew members heard that and looked at him back.
"What the…?"
"Wait, are you…?"
"Yeah, it's me, the ferry captain of this country," Gerald replied back seriously and boldly, "and I am already familiar with your attacks, and I am ready to strike back."
Blackmarrow was annoyed by him, for he had been using his strong ability against him.
This time, more pirates who died at sea joined Blackmarrow's crew, and Blackmarrow was confident that he will be stronger than Gerald.
So, Blackmarrow commanded his ships to fire at Gerald. His ships did so, and seeing that, Russell and some in his group were shocked to see that Gerald would be obliterated by the pirate ships' ghostly cannonballs.
Luckily, Gerald uses his strong ability known as Storm.
It was an S-ranked, and it was his Secondary ability.
With that, a strong storm whipped up in the sea nearby, and the weather changed rapidly. The winds are strong and destructive as Gerald fed their strength and power with his magic. "No one is going to mess with my homeland…" Gerald said to them seriously and coldly.
And so, Blackmarrow's ghostly cannonballs were repelled by the storm's strong winds and were blown back to the ships of his.
So, this caused destruction on them, much to Blackmarrow's shock and bewilderment.
