A flicker of disappointment appeared in her eyes.
She thought she found something incredible but it was just useless trash.
Hiko sighed, about to throw the scroll back in her inventory, but then a bold idea appeared in her head
She reread the third explanation again and that's when her eyes landed on her mother figure.

Hiko stared at the panel, her eyes become hazy and a memory buried inside her, that was long forgotten had reappeared before her eyes.

She didn't got to say goodbye to him before her father passed away. Her only hope was her mother still clinging to life.
Hiko snapped back to reality, she held her forehead covering her eyes.

She open it and absorbed it in an instant. Naro stared at her in awe.
Any normal being would have needed to gradually absorb the skill scroll for their body and soul to gradually accept the new skill and not bring harm to oneself.

She gaze at the destroyed surrounding one last time before pulling her mother close to her and placing her other hand on Naro's shoulder.

The streetlight turn green, a white car drove forward.
*WOOOSH*
Before the car could even cross the road.
Gust of wind gathered in front of the white car, forming and revealing two figure standing, appearing in thin air.
The driver's eyes widen in shock, he instinctively turn the car to the side, heading towards the streetlight pole.
Realising his mistake, he slam the break and close his eyes, preparing for impact.

The expected impact didn't came, he opened his eyes, his car had stopped a hair breath away from the pole.
"Haaaahhh~" He sighed "That was close. Honey? Are you okay?" He turn his head to the side, the immediate concern was his wife.
She was fast asleep, a smile forming on her lips like shewas having a good dream.
He smile at that, glad that she was fine.
He turn back to look in front and he froze, his eyes widening and eyebrow raise.
Red sparkling eyes, long yellow hair style in a twintail. Child-like appearance between 12 and 14. She was staring at him. Her body half-way inside the car from the car window side, her head tilted sideways looking at him with a strange sense of joy in her eyes.
Her mouth open, the word she spoke shooked him greatly.
"Dad! " With the sweetest smile and a childish tone, she joyfully called him Dad.
It melted his heart at being called that. But... Who was this child? Why was this child calling him dad..?
Her shout seem to have woke the woman on the passenger seat.
She slowly woke up, and the moment her gaze landed on the driver. Her eyes widen in pure shock and happiness.
"Darling!" She shouted, launching herself towards her beloved husband.
Embracing him tightly.
The husband in question was puzzled. He hug his wife back. Not knowing why she was suddenly like this.
He temporary forget about the yellow haired girl and become concern of his wife state.
"Honey? Did you have a nightmare? " He asked in a concern tone.
She nodded, hugging him tightly.
He smiled and caress her back to calm her down, "I'm here, don't cry. Tears doesn't suit a beautiful woman like you"

The yellow haired girl in question had silently withdraw her head from the car's window.
It was Hiko, she had travel back in time and her skill Past Life Return had vanish completely.
There was no way back, she's stuck in the past.
The man she called Dad was her father, and the woman embracing him was her mother inside her past body.
Hiko stared at the two, she didn't want to interrupt or disturb them yet. Ruining a reunion between her recently awaken Mother and her Father before the accident would leave Hiko with intense regret if she ruin the moment.
She gaze down at her own body, and found it to be the same Loli body, just a bit mature and develop since she was a year old now, but it's definitely not her past life body.
'I don't exist in the past.' Hiko thought, her face darkening.
She already expected this outcome, the system had told her that it wouldn't work on herself since her past had been erase.

She shake her head, her gaze landed on her parent. They were happily hugging and comforting each other.
A bitter smile forced its way on her face.

Hiko sighed, 'It's fine.' she thought.

It was more of her 7 year old self interacting with them and having fragments of her past 15 years of memories.
Hiko shook her head, deciding to focuse on the present moment.
And at that moment, she witness her parent having a passionate kiss inside the car.
Hiko instinctively look away and casted illusion magic to make them all invisible.
'Ughh, I can never get used to the. kissing' Hiko internally said in disgust.

Hiko sat on a chair.
Naro was sitting beside her, and her parent sat across from her. It was a table for four people, Hiko gaze down at her plate of food seemingly daze.
Everything felt surreal to her, she save her parent from that disastrous accident and she has power in the real world.
Hiko's couldn't helo but smile, a genuine smile that rarely appears. Her parent was safe, she has a reliable maid to help them.
Hiko's had completed her goal.
Now she wanted to help them live a wealthy and luxurious life.
...But why does it feels like she's being watch?
Her parent had adopted her as their daughter, and accepted Naro as their `maid` as well.
At first, it was a rough start. But Hiko manage to convince them.
How? Well Hiko pretended to be an orphan experiment, running away from the laboratory because of their mistreatment.
Tragic backstory that convince them to adopt Hiko and explain why she has a red halo, black wings and no identity.
Hiko felt guilty lying to them but she didn't want to observe them secretly and become a stalker.
As for the adoption paper? Nothing but a little [Command] skill can't do.
She simply commanded the staff to accept everything and not tell anyone.
She even made sure that the camera is useless by using illusion magic to make the place look normal to the camera and outsider.
"Hiko? The food is getting cold, you don't want them cold don't you?" Her Father spoke, snapping Hiko out of her dazed state.
Hiko smile.
Her father voice. She had long forgotten what they sound like. And hearing it coming from him again made her heart skip a beat, her eyes moistening in joy at hearing her father voice again.
She felt glad that she didn't give up.
If she had stopped when she saw the portal closing. She might not have live to this moment right now.
'Dad, mom. Thank you' Hiko genuinely spoke, a rare sight of vulnerability in her tone.
Droplet of water flow down her chin, falling to the table.
"Hiko, is everything okay? Was it too hot?" Her Mother worriedly spoke.
Hiko shake her head, wiping her tears away. 'I'm so careless, I let my emotion be seen by them and made them worried again. I can't let that happen.'
"I'm fine! The food taste good! I couldn't help myself..! hehe~!" Hiko happily chuckle, she picked her spoon and took a spoonful of rice.
She ate it and close her eyes.
"Oishiii~!" Hiko joyfully spoke, holding her cheek in delight.

It wasn't actually delicious, it was just rice with nothing on it. She had eaten tastier food before and this was average home cooking.
"Mhmm~!" Hiko grabbed another spoonful of rice, eating them like a wild animal.
Even though it was just rice with nothing on it, the nostalgia and warm, made it tastier then any food she had eaten.
Her parent smiled at her behaviour.
Naro on the other hand was just observing. Eating and being a obedient maid waiting for her order. As expected from a grade S battle maid.
If anyone were to look closely, they would see a transparent red string attached to Naro's heart and Hiko's fingers.
Hiko continued eating, her thought running in the background about various things.
Could she convert her gold coin for real money? Maybe she can sell her low grade equipment..?
With her parent safe and alive. Hiko begin to think of how to build a paradise for them.

Hiko grabbed a cup of water and drunk it in one gulp. Shocking her parent at how a small mouth like her could gulp down an entire cup of water in seconds!
Hiko didn't pay attention, she was deep in her thought, thinking of various ways she could make an Utopia for them.
'Mhm, step one of making my parent wealthy and live a luxurious life, by selling gold or winning a lottery ticket' Hiko internal said, it wasn't the safest option.

There was nothing inside her mouth, not tongue nor teeth, just empty void space.
"Anyone who disturb the universe peace shell be destroy~!" She declared, her short green hair reflected the cosmic radiation of outer space.
Unbeknown to Hiko.
Her peaceful life wouldn't last long.
