We only left the room to get Aiko when she woke up. The fact that she slept for so long would have had me worried but she was so calm when I picked her up again. Cooing at me softly. By the time I brought her back to Kacchan he was barely sitting up and still wincing.
"Sorry," I pouted a little. I didn't expect for him to spasm so hard during that last climax and I was holding him pretty hard.
"Fuck, don't apologize for rocking my world," he chuckled, a dangerous smirk still planted on his face. "Apologize for stopping," he corrected and just why did he have to say that? Now? Do I look like I have a god's willpower? Because I don't. I really, really don't.
"Ahh!" Aiko cooed from my arms and brought our attention back to her.
"Later," he winked before reaching for her, smiling and making faces before he helped her get settled and she was nursing hard. "Someone was hungry," he cooed softly but Aiko just watched him with wide eyes, her hands grabbing him to make sure he didn't somehow get away. It was while I was holding her, gently rocking her to sleep when my phone rang.
"I'll get it," Kacchan answered, chuckling when I didn't want to put our daughter down. "Arsonall's phone, Dynamight speaking," my eyes flicked up hearing not only the words but the tone he spoke in. The caller ID on my phone must have shown a string of numbers instead of someone's name. I carefully rocked Aiko, cooing softly as I did now that it looked like we would be needed.
"I see, so you need both of us," Kacchan's voice sounded harsh but when he looked at me I let out a sigh and nodded. I walked through a shadow and instead of laying Aiko down in her crib I walked out the door and found Mom.
"We're being called in, Kacchan is still on the phone with them. She just ate and she was changed before that," I told her and she quickly took her from my arms. "We love you princess," I whispered, kissing her head but when I tried to slip out of her hold she cried out. It was a sound that could only be described as offended, not mad or upset or fussy, she is offended and she is oh so very cute doing it.
"It's alright my sweet granddaughter. It's just time to spend some time with me," Mom chattered happily trying to soothe her but my heart squeezed when she cried for me anyway. Mom's phone dinged while I kissed little Aiko's hand. "Don't worry honey, the Bakugo's are already on their way here," she was only barely not crying herself. "Just be careful out there, both of you." I left after that. Kacchan was already getting dressed and my suit was there too.
"We need to hurry, Apparently all heroes were called in for emergency response. There was a fire and it spread, it's out now but villains have taken advantage of the confusion and panic and several buildings have collapsed," he updated me while we geared up. I can't use the darkness to just go anywhere, I need a very detailed understanding of where it is that I want to go in order to use it but thankfully the hospital that Aiko had been born in was right next to all of the chaos.
"Deku!" Kacchan snapped after we walked though and I jumped towards him just before what looked like an I-beam crashed down exactly where I used to be standing.
"Damn, talk about unlucky," I heard someone laughing and looked back to see a villain juggling several of the large metal beams. "Maybe I just need to try again?" He laughed before another one was flicked towards us. Guess we don't need to guess what the situation was about.
"Come on, Flick," another much higher voice cackled maniacally. I found a much smaller person, I couldn't tell their gender, far to the left of the first. "Don't you know that these two are in ~LOVE~?" I don't like how his voice grated on my nerves but I don't really understand why. It was like seeing a dog meowing or the sun melting, wrong, just wrong.
"Oi, get the hell away from me with your quirk. Use it on the heroes, some of them might actually thank you," the first, Flick, visibly shuddered and now I'm far more nervous than before.
"They just had a baby though," the unknown one groaned but he was smiling like a clown and skipping over anyway. "So? How is it? Do you like being parents? Is your baby loved and taken care of even while you're here?" they asked, Kacchan and I were already in defensive positions trying to figure out what else had been going on.
My ear piece beeped in my ear, "these two are called the Love Hate Duo. They like to pit heroes against each other, finding any kind of friction at all and then, well, it really depends. If the heroes don't like each other the smaller of the two, Lush, will actually cause the two to have children while if they do get along Flick will incite rage between them. It's not clear how they do either of these things," the voice from headquarters supplied but they were gone again after that. With all the chaos they are probably scrambling to give all the heroes as much info as they could and considering we don't normally get updates I'm surprised I heard anything at all.
"You're not going to answer? Oh you are probably thinking his quirk is voice activated. It's not but you won't understand it until the fucker uses it on you. Trust me when I say it's trippy," Flick chuckled but that only made Lush pout. Kacchan and I were already in defensive positions but what exactly are they talking about? If anything, the information from headquarters has made this even more confusing. Why are they asking about our baby? What does she have to do with anything? Or is he just curious? Kacchan and I make a lot of money from being influencers and we post every week about our lives, leaving our baby out of videos and only giving generic information about her. We haven't even released the fact that she is a girl.
"What the fuck does it matter to you?" Kacchan asked, his eyes narrowing at Lush. Neither of us have made a move yet but thanks to the info from headquarters can we? I mean really?
"Oh! Well it's just that you're so young but so successful already! I'm so curious. At your age most people would think a baby would ruin their lives, your future prospects, their everything but you two," Lush smiled brightly. "You two are thriving! You're already so high in the rankings that most heroes never even see the top 50 let alone the top ten! Then I found out you're the son of All Might? I thought maybe, just maybe, he pulled strings for you but no. Other than going to UA and traveling to other countries, your style of being a hero is so different. Did you know there are talk shows dedicated solely to you two? Analysts have spent hours on just how you climbed the rankings so fast and absolutely none of them even knew you were All Might's son until your live steam? It's outstanding! And you have a baby too? It should be impossible but no. You've done it. You've really done it," he started laughing here and I found myself standing in front of Kacchan, blocking Lush from getting near him.
I need to get some kind of control on what's going on but I don't really know what's going on in the first place to know where to start. "Why are you doing this?" I tried but anyone could have seen that I was grasping at straws here. I can't react appropriately without information and other than Flick causing property damage with a couple I beams that seemed to appear out of nowhere he hasn't done anything since. Just stood there, watching, ready.
"Awe, because you interest us. We weren't a part of the chaos before but when you seemed to step out of nowhere we just couldn't let you go, you're too amazing and we don't really care for amazing. We like realistic," the smile disappeared on Lush's face and I swear I felt a chill crawl up my spine.
"We like to bring people down a peg and normally we would use our quirk on you," this time it was Flick talking, but the I-beams were still there ready as if he didn't really need to focus to juggle them. "People like you, hate would have worked well but you're too cautious. Even while blocking your lover from us he has only adjusted so that he could defend you from behind instead of getting mad so that knocks out that option," he shrugged and now I feel the hair on my arms rising as if understanding what he meant. Does he mean that our reaction towards them is what determines how their quirk affects us?
"But," back to Lush again, "you just had a baby together so mine wouldn't really affect you either. Or could it? If memory serves you were kidnapped and drugged. So maybe the baby forced you two together? But there was more than a little romance between you two on your stream," he let out a sigh before smiling. "You know what? I think I'll do it anyway. Yeah, that sounds like a great idea," his smile brightened and I took a step back trying to cover Kacchan more but suddenly I felt very sick. It felt like my stomach was being turned inside out and back again while the rest of me was spinning around and around. I lost my footing but managed to stay up right anyway.
"Got ya!" He laughed and Flick was grinning too. His massive weapons disappeared and the damage from earlier with it. Huh? Was it only an illusion? I looked behind me to see Kacchan pale and down on one knee with a hand on his stomach. "I hope you like having a baby because you're about to have another one," my head jerked back up again but they were already running away and Kacchan was sweating.
"Hospital now!" I tried to demand but Kacchan shook his head refusing.
"We have to hurry, there are still-" the ear piece in our ears cracked to life again.
"Once you're done with your current operations, file your reports, the operation is done!" The voice from earlier rang out excitedly and Kacchan was back down on one knee before he looked up and nodded at me. I picked him up and ran towards the entrance of the nearby hospital.
