(Kiryu's POV)
"What do you mean you by that, Satoru?" I asked him as we walked down the path, "What are you trying to tell me?"
He stopped and looked at me, "I don't think it's a good idea, Kiryu." He said, "Not now, though."
We were taking a walk in one of Tokyo's parks, I was going to discuss my decision with him; to take Mei Mei, Shoko, and Utahime as my wives. For the longest time, Satoru has known of my relationship with them and has mostly supported it, or at the very least, been indifferent to it.
He had told me he wasn't sure if any of that was a good idea.
"Not now?" I asked, "What are you talking about?"
He rubbed his hair, "They're Jujutsu Sorcerers, Kiryu." He said, "And right now, there's word of an operation being prepared by the higher-ups. We're still investigating this whole Disaster Curse situati-"
"Get it fucking settled, then." I growled, "What do I need you for, then? Do I have to do everything for you?!"
He smiled, "That'll be nice, once in a while!" He said, "Kiryu, you'd be a hugeeee help if you participated in the operation. The other Clans might volunteer sorcerers. "
"You're more than enough." I said with a scowl, "You're Gojo Satoru, fuck's sake..."
"I'm flattered." He said, "But-"
"No buts!" I snapped, "You're the Strongest, Satoru! Why are you making everything so difficult?!"
He patted my shoulder, "You can't rely on me for everything, Kiryu." He said, "What happened to the Old Kiryu? The one who never asked for my help. You always went and exorcised Curses by yourself and when we were in a pinch, you'd show up out of nowhere and Destroy them. It was embarrassing, for a kid to help me out like that. "
"That was before I became the Head." I said, "I don't need to put myself in these situations. And that was before You became the Strongest."
He stepped back, "But still." He said, "Even I have my limits."
I looked down at the floor, seeing a small trail of ants passing next to my feet, "Shit..." I said, "Terrible timing, Satoru. I wanted to fix everything with them....I just wanted to start to move on...."
"Look at them." Satoru said referring to the ants, "To us, everyone else might as well be them. Ants beneath our feet."
"Us?" I said, "You think I'm at your level? Please, don't make me laugh."
He gave me a smirk, "You're not weak, Kiryu." He said, "You're strong."
I sighed and began to walk past him, "Not as strong as you." I said
"Is that your issue with me?" He said as he began to walk behind me, "Do you still have that inferiority complex with me?"
I ignored him and merely walked down the path with a serious look on my face. There was a lot on my mind at that moment; My Father, his last words to me. And most importantly, the decision I wanted to make.
"You know." He continued, "Uncle only wanted me as his Heir when he saw that I had the Six Eyes. I was named Heir for 3 Years, Kiryu, the first 3 of my life."
I stopped and glanced at him, "That's what Granny Rukia said." I told him
"Well, it's true." He said, "The moment you were born, He knew. He knew you were going to be a Limitless user. And even if you didn't have the Six Eyes, he still named you the rightful Heir. You think I made you Head, but you're wrong. It was Uncle who did that, not me."
I looked away, staring off into the distance, seeing the leaves fall from the trees and drifting in the wind. It reminded me of the walks I had with my Father when I was a child, shortly after training.
"Why are you telling me this?" I asked Satoru
He stood next to me, "Because, I need you to stop thinking the way you've always been thinking." He said, "Yes, Uncle didn't want you to prematurely make decisions that could negatively affect you. But the cruel truth is.....He's not here anymore. You're the Head, so do as you please."
I frowned, "Didn't you just say it was a bad idea to do it now?"
He laughed and shrugged, "Hehe! I know~!" He said mockingly, "But still if you want to do it now...Help me....let's get rid of these enemies so we can start that Era of peace you've wanted."
I looked up at the sky, "Granny Rukia says that it's best if we grow the Clan for the future." I said
"Bah!" He scoffed, "Those Elders care for one thing; Power. While it's good, in a way, it is selfish. They wish to secure the Future of our bloodline through us, producing strong children that'll lead the Gojo in the future."
"Is that so bad, Satoru?" I asked, "To secure our bloodline? If we don't sire any children, the two of us, the Gojo Clan might end with us."
He shrugged, "I don't know." He said, "Do you truly want to curse your child with our enemies?"
I looked at him, he looked serious when he said that.
"Hm..." I said, "That's a good point."
"Well, it doesn't matter." He said, "You'll make your choice. You'll marry who you wish to marry, however many you wish to marry, and guess what? I won't protest that choice! Why? Cause you're your own man, Kiryu. And not just that...."
"You're the Boss."
