Five years ago...
On the rings of Saturn there was a family of little importance.
But there was chance to make themselves known.
Although there was no telling what they would need to sacrifice for this fame.
"Were you fighting again my love?" a young Rinock woman questioned as her husband returned home.
"Don't look at me like that!, they just don't understand the importance of their job Kori, it's like all they do is sit around taking this chrysalis drug that's going around" Eron made his mind known despite an impressionable child being near.
"Hey mum..." Serena the eldest child of the Torcer family slid through the empty doorway.
"I see your still putting this family in danger Eron" Serena spoke out, outraged by her father's actions.
"Don't speak to your father like that Serena" Kori sprung to her husband's defence.
"No mum dad needs to set a better example for Towin, instead of fighting for something which is never gonna happen he could get a normal job like mining" Serena laid a container full of vials onto the floor.
"Why shouldn't dad fight against the soldiers they are just slackers" Towin's voice faded away into the background as he attempted to defend his dad.
"Dear just help move the beds, we need to make a table for tea" Kori joyfully asked her daughter, although her smile was fading away from the moment it was forced to appear.
And as Serena and Eron used their abilities to form a table of ice Towin sunk to the ground left feeling like a shadow.
Serena broke a piece of the table off to mould a bowl of ice which she gently placed onto the slippery table.
With the table set the Torcer family were ready to eat, sharing from a singular bowl.
Silence conquered the Torcer home, no voices, no outside noise, nothing at all could be heard except from the spoon dipping into the bowl of soup.
That was until Kori mumbled a few words...
"What was that Kori?" Eron with his defences up raised his voice.
"Mum don't" Serena warned her hand brushing against her mothers.
"No its okay dear he needs to hear this..., well maybe the soldiers are right to be doing what they are doing, maybe there is no threat for us to worry about" Kori finally made her opinion known, slamming the palms of her hands against the ice made table.
"No!, I know something is coming and if those soldiers don't get their act together that something will destroy us" Eron made his declaration without noticing the sudden absence of his son.
"You two are..., I don't even have the words" Serena baffled by her parents behaviour sprung up onto her feet.
"What, what have we done wrong?" both parents demanded to know what was so wrong.
"Your son just left and you don't even know, I'm going after him sort your shit out before I get back.., especially you dad" Serena made her leave into the empty streets of Iceurn city.
